Wow..I have no problem finding help most hours and my community seems pretty damn nice. I can see how people would get bored....but I am pretty easy to please...maybe too easy. So..until SW:TOR..it's Probably RIFT and AoC for me ..mostly RIFT.

It was always pretty dull, but it became nothing but boredom when I got to 50 and found out endgame PVP was nothing but a WF grind, most of which I had already played enough of from 1-49.

I'm actually bored with the lvl 50 content. The character progression is, like in wow, only limited to your equip. I'm coming from EQ2 (or I'm still playing it), and I'm usual to a bigger variety of character progression choices. In Rift I'm farming T1 gear to farm T2 gear to farm Raid gear, thats it. That's to little for me. The dungeons are good though.

People said this game was nonthing before it was even released. The betas were available everywhere so anybody that wanted to play should have been able to play. If you still bought this medicore game then you got exactly what you deserved. It time we stop blamming the game companys because its not their fault but its your fault to continue paying for these low budget poor excuses for MMOs. Same thing happend with every mmo released in the last 6 years. There are still REAL MMOs out there like Everquest, Ryzom,  Final Fantasy XI, Eve and Lineage 2.

Er, I'm not bored and I've been playing since beta. I'm having a great time with my guild. Sorry that you are bored though!

During beta 2, I knew 5 minutes after I created my character and logged in that this was not going to be a new mmo home for me. I stuck it out though, mostly out of curiosity and the fact that this game actually had some of that elusive polish that we have all been screaming for, but I ended up saying adios when I hit level 22. I'm still amazed I made it that far ;)

Good entry-level mmo for newcomers to the genre, but I've had my fill of games developed using this formula. I don't mind relatively non-innovative games in other more limited genres such as FPS games, but when it comes to mmos, I don't think we've even scraped the surface of what this genre is capable of.

Ultimately, I think Rift arrived at the party 3 or 4 years too late. It'll be interesting to see how things unfold for Trion over the next couple of months.

Rift is actually growing very well on me.  For me its what WOW CATA should have been.  Dynamic events - good character custimisation - open skill system.  And what did WOW do ?   Archeology... And rewamped old dungeons like ZA and ZG.

I do not know how much liberty TRION has to improving the game engine - but the possiblites are there.  Its defetnly 500 times better than what WOW is offering atm.

I would love to go back to the old days when meters did not control gaming.  When ppl focused on working together instead of competing all the time.  WOW breaths on nothing but competition.  Even between members in the guild.  I want to go back to the old days when things were not like that.  When support classes were as important as the pure classes.   And RIFT is atm keeping it clean of ingame meters - and the out of game meters are not very accurate.  And that way ppl actually are realising that support classes are still really fun to play.

Im gonna give TRION a chance on this one.   I pay them the sub money that I would be spending in WOW playing ZG and ZA again.  I hope they will use it to improve the game.  THey have promised they are fully comitted to full dev team into future design.  If thats the case that I can see the game grow and become a good enjoyable mature version of WOW.   With no gobllin speedways or flying storelions.

I got bored after reaching Rank6 and no one PvPs on my PvP server(LOLTHAM).

  • eugameugam Member UncommonPosts: 984

20-29 the game was absolutely predictable. It was ok fun to keep going till 50. But then it was boring enough to cancel. I dont hate the game, it was worth the 50 Euro.. almost. But mid-game its predictable and endgame it was pure boredom.

Have a lvl35 cleric and PVE is extremely boring (kill x rats, bring object y back so rats can't eat it, escort ratking x to the nearest cesspool)... all I enjoy now is PvP and even then... its quite repetative. I will never roll a new char for sure... still trying to muster enough strength to lvl this cleric to lvl50... but likely I will quit before that.

I got the same feeling at same lvl.  the 30-40 maps are just not good enough.  Specially not now when they are swarming with mobs and very few players around.   I like the 40-50 content much better.  Im now working on the expert dungeons and they are fun with good groups.

I think it was level 32 or 33 on my defiant warrior flavor of the month spec( ihear thats been nered). This was in the beta, and that was when I thew it away and deleted  it from my computer.  I could tell being this this was gong to be very boring for alts.

i got extremely bored with Rift at level 51

    ;-)

During beta, just after I left the tutorial area and made my 1st level in the 'current time'. Game is way too repetative for me and a story-line is hard to find :-(

So...yeah....If I was able to play any game for 12 hours at a time....it would probably get boring, so good luck with GW2/SWTOR/etc etc because if you dedicate your life to it....it will soon after be just as boring.

nail hit on the head... if you play casually, it's great. I'm only level 28 and am still enjoying myself. Great Rift last night punctuated with some PvP = Fun!

I am really glad mmorpg had the free key giveaway and got to try this game.  Clearly this game is not for me because I am just not liking most of what I see.  Good to see alot of other people like the game and that its doing well but I don't know if I will even log in for the rest of the free trial.  I answered lvl 1-9 on the poll.

  • FalcomithFalcomith Member UncommonPosts: 831

I got bored on the defiant side at 37. The content just seemed to all be the same fetch quests. Invasions, PvP and rifts can only hold you so long. I wanted to try to get my character up to 50 for end game content, but its hard to motivate yourself when the content before hand has gotten boring. Even the dungeons are not all the unique.

With that said I decided to role on the Guardian side and have gotten to level 18....Again I got bored.

I will continue to play off and on, but only until another MMO that strikes my interest comes along.

The difference between this poll and others, despite this one also getting 189+ voters, is intriguing.

Apparently, only 35% aren't bored with Rift...

I got to level...2. Or maybe 3. Was during the Open Beta sessions. If a game can't keep me excited from the get-go, not worth it for me.

*sigh* why can't games be good like EVE and UO? (obligatory praise). Seriously, moar non-leveling games.

I got bored with Rift around level 3

All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.

I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.

UO is my favorite game but c'mon now, EVE and UO 'excited you from the get-go'? EVE starting out is dreadful. And UO wasn't any better, it basically threw you in the world and said "Do whatever you want, I'm not going to even tell you what starting out as a Mage or Blacksmith even does to your stats.". I loved it for that but if you REALLY had that mentality, you would of never played either of those games.

On topic, I still have my sub but I haven't found the need to play in a couple weeks at 33. The massive rift events and general buzz in the air kept me going but once I got 30 it seems like most of that hit a wall and the PvE wasn't holding my interest, nor was PvP.
