Well, if you look at most people's ideas and have a thought about it, a lot of them aren't technical systems, but simply a design direction, how certain features are handled and presented

How much WoW could a WoWhater hate, if a WoWhater could hate WoW?
As much WoW as a WoWhater would, if a WoWhater could hate WoW.

Yes, the details are awesome to read! But I think the best approach to communicating "the" idea of perfect MMO is starting with a concept at the apex. Then using this high-level idea building down. Otherwise it's a bit like taking your favorite ingredients from various recipes and then thinking that those ingredients added together will create a new meal that is the most tasty?! ; )

First of all I want lots of races and classes and all races have thier own starting point and home in the world, also lots  of custimization which includes height and weight and more than the bog standard 6 hairstyles.I mean come on how hard can this actually be?I hate everyone looking the same. My first impression when i logged into Aion was 'is Prince a secret designer in this game?everyone is pink and purple'

So thats my unique looking toon sorted now we want an open world with lots of different paths you can take to level.Lots of quests you can do and also group dungeons, some instanced and others not where the mobs are tougher and not soloable so in turn they drop better loot. Also slow leveling and I don't want any of the crap where you have 1 hotbar and have to pick spells/abilities to put on before I go into the world.I find this dumb and annoying.Classes should be an artform not  a 7 button mash.

Also lets have lots of abilities/spells per class and to make yourself stand out lets get away from everyone having the same ability. For example if you get fireball at level 1 lets have tiers in it like the eq2 system. This way if you have master spells you stand apart from others of your class.

This brings me onto UI,no mmo has  had a better UI than eq2,its 100% customizable which should be the case for all mmo's.

I also want a worldwide broker system and collections are fun to.

Now onto crafting, please oh please stop doing these pointless crafting in games where you gather 100 tin click on a forge and go make a cup of tea while you turn that 100 tin into 50 tin bars then come back and turn those into 25 tin boots! I can't stand it,this isn't crafting!Crafting should be hard and take time so that the people that can be  bothered to do it reap the rewards when they get high level. Also the gear a crafter makes should be equal to hard mob dropped gear but lesser than raid gear. And rare recipies can also be dropped from mobs which in turn creates an econemy for recipies. And maybe crafters need to work together for example a tailor  makes bits that an armorer  needs.

Now those things will be a nice starting point:) Lastly I would like a leaderboards system that shows where your toons are on the ladder in different aspects of the game.I don't think these things are to much to ask for and i know there are 10's of thousands of MMORPG players that are  just waiting for that harder game to be released!

oh and I forgot to add I am only really into the sword and sorcery type mmo,the space/horror havn't quite got it for me.

I'd like a Leisure Suit Larry MMO. Then instead of bragging about gearscore, it would be about how many NPCs (and players?) you got to sex you up. Bonus points for humiliation.

Oh, hell yeah! I wouldn't hesitate for a second if such a game were created. You have wonderful dreams ;)

Las week I was wondering if there even is an erotic based MMO already? Would love to play one of those. I bet if there's an erotic MMO out there, it has to be a Japanese one :p

And yeah, I'd jump in a Larry MMO. I loved the original RPG's in the 90's

There are, and they are usually from Europe or the states. They amount to nothing more than a virtual chatroom with mini-games you can play with one hand (I assume).

I know there are (graphical) chatrooms out there with mini games. But that's not what meant with an erotic MMO and Japanese based. Just look at Urutkoduji (Ik now I've spelled it wrong, but every anime lover knows which movie I mean :D). That'd make a good setting for an MMO. I'd love to see an actual erotic MMO with quests, crafting and stuff like that, but all erotic tinted. Why Japanese? They are an expert when it comes to the erotic manga style (hentai), and do some serious story-telling as well.

I think the Japanese are too weird to come up with a product like this that can storm all markets. I watch a lot of anime, and trust me, I like the ecchi shit... but even I have my limits. The latest one I saw had a guy that sucks tits and gets superpowers from it. That will not fly anywhere other than Japan.

I think Leisure Suit Larry has enough of a pull as an erotic comedy to not be cast off immediately as porn, or something so vile that only the most hardcore can get into. Really, success in that market is about how well you can disguise the pornographic elements behind something else (namely, the gameplay). People are too ashamed to have something like that show up on their credit card statements, that is, unless it's widely accepted as "ok".

I wish for an MMO where Snipers fight vikings , choopers take down dragons , spiritmasters kill CIA agents ... thats the theme i wish to see let's say like that April's fool  commando class in GW2 .

For classes i want to see a classless game , if u found a sniper rifle .. then u should go to some old sniper NPC to teach you how to fire with it , and at the end of the day you become a sniper , u suck at it in first .. but after , the Sniper proficiency skill increases and you become good at it , same for staff , u go to a Necromancer , a Pyromaniac , a dolphin or anything of the crazy stuff devs do to teach you how to perfect using it.

For development or leveling , no leveling system should be incorporated , let's just say i want it to go like this , you kill 10 wild bears with sword , u gain strength and sword proficiency. u kill them with bow or sniper u gain dexterity and ... you got the idea !!

Equipment , I want equipment to rely on the stats and proficiency level -assuming we removed level restrain- , all equipment MUST affect your stats in some way or another , like decreasing your movement speed but boosting your HP and so on..

That's the fantasy that will surely grant me gaming orgasm .

For me I'd like to see a SW:NJO based MMO, maybe with same mechanics as BIO is using in SW:ToR.  And a AD&D2E MMO, maybe go with Forgotten Realms or Temple of Elemental Evil to start with.

Combat - I love the clicking to attack and haveing to aim in DDO... But I personally don't like DDO very much. I like being in an open world being able to interact with people at all times, while in DDO, if you go into a dungeon alone, you can't see people or interact with people.

Classes - This is one of the main reasons I like Rift. 32 classes. Rift really set my standards for classes and trees. In my dream mmo, I would want 32+ classes and being able to intermix 2-3 (preferably 3) classes, like how you can in Rift. Or maybe even make your own class/classes. Also, the roots on the soul trees in Rift is pretty cool too.

The world and races - I require a lot of diversity in mmo's, which is something World of Warcraft definetly delivered (though I hate the chartoony graphics). I would defintely like to see plenty of races and colors. Also, I'd like to play as a tribal wolf-person character (no, not a worgen). Kinda like a mahirim from Darkfall, only not as star fox-looking. I'd want it to actually look like a wolf.

As for customizability, if you could imagine something like oblivion.

PvP - I love PvP based games, but I hate being able to get pwned by anyone at any time, that's why I don't play them. I would still like the factions and the pvp finder and all that stuff. I'd just want more variety in pvp. I don't wanna do the same thing over and over just LOOKING like you're doing different things. Also maybe have different places for each battleground (if you could imagine how a shooter game does it. Team deathmatch, a bunch of different places you can play it at.)

Tried to make it as short as possible. Addressed all I felt needed.

Yeeeee all points here. about the world and races part, personally  I'd like to hear something about Vampire cuz Im wallowing in Vampire Diary now! +, are you searching for a game? or you already have one.

Unfortunately I'm still looking. I am currently playing Rift and Warcraft but they aren't what I'm looking for.

The ideal game would be the one in like a virual reality world.......i would call it "LIFE", the gfx would be so awesome.

There would be no quests, just things to do list to be inside a lovely community.

hmmm i guess it DOES exist.....and it IS called life.

Just saying that the perfect game will never exist......its just a game.

RL is much more fun then pretending there will be a virtual world thats perfect.

Life isnt even perfect so a game will never be perfect either.

As long as its fun its ok for me.

    hehe :)
