Seriously, they were not, in anyway, taking from players. It's not that difficult. The guides were on open land. Just because a resource is near your tribal zone does not make it yours in Xsyon. Only if it is within your totems radius is it considered yours. There is nothing legitimate about these complaints.

Also the guides are not playing the game for there own reason, they were told to build by the higher ups.

they aren't running around killing people and taking there stuff.

Additionally the only land you own is the radius specifically covered by your totem you drop, it has a radius of 25m from its base its like your area you control and also your safe zone, ifyou place one on a resource other players can not harvest it.

anything outside of it isn't owned by anyone its free for anyone on the server to come and pickup.

just because you have to go to get resouces outside of yours safe zone does not mean you own it. how ever if another player comes and drops there safe zone on a resouce you were using you specifically can not use it because you now really dont own it.

this is by design and a game mechinc

ILLmaculate is a pissed off gamer that doesn;t even like Xsyon and is constanly complaining on the forums about how much the game sucks but still finds way to stay and complain about how much more the game sucks. he could have requested a refund  and left, but he still stays and complains more about how much he hates the game.

This and the rest of the ridiculous responses to this thread were far more than I ever could have asked for, even on the official Xsyon boards themselves. Thanks for coming out guys.

As a closing to this thread I will summarize the points for and against the actions of the moderators:

    For:

iLLmaculate is a pissed off gamer

The resources were outside our tribal zone

    We were rude

    They didnt kill us

They were asked to do it

    Against:

GMs should not interfere with subscribers gameplay

at least we can agree that ILL is a pissed off gamer......

While your complaint may be legitimate, your incredibly rude approach seriously undermines it.

So basically you are mad that guides have a few homesteads they use to test and hang out in and they scavenged near your area and you couldnt pvp them?  pretty funny lol

I know I'm a little late to the party but....

As you stated you moved to this location so..It's pretty obvious what happened here. (and I don't understand why more don't see it).

The Guides had probably already been there on the edge of the map using that section for whatever task (which was set forth by the Developers) that they were doing. They were most likely using that spot because it was an obscure location on the edge of the map, least likely to have players occupying it.

So, you moved there. Probably didn't see the Guides because they were either not on, doing something else (like an event or something) during the time you were moving (I highly doubt they "targeted you as you were hinting to). They finish what they were doing (or logged on) and went back to that location to continue with that task. Well, this time, there just so happens that players (you) moved there. So they still have to continue with their task so they start gathering resources from the area..outside of your tribal zone.

Did you ever think that perhaps the Devs told them to gather from that area (long before you moved there because 1) there was less lag and thus less impact on the servers and 2) the area was most likely the most desolate with no players (most likely so they wouldn't get accused of doing what you're accusing them of). Ever think that they're building something as a test for something to be implemented in the future?  ...even if Guides have the ability to "spawn" their own materials, that really doesn't help anything now does it? It doesn't test the process from Start to Finish. There are a lot of items not in game yet...for all we know they could be testing crafting of some of those items. (and they will need resources that are in game) They could also be involved in a project that they cannot talk about.

    • The Guides weren't doing anything wrong really..they were doing their job..and their job is whatever the Devs are having them do. I don't even see any screenshot that shows a Guide with the materials strapped to their backs.

    • The Guides did not steal your stuff, they didn't even touch your stuff. Anything they took was outside of your tribal area = not yours.

    • The Guides were not "playing the game" as most of you are chiming in with.

    • The Guide account is different from their main playing account if they even have one. Anyone who thinks someone is going to be a Guide/GM in a game and not play it on another account is stupid and naive. The person is probably working as a Guide/GM for the game/company because they really like the game and most of the time were playing the game before  they became a Guide/GM. Why are you even accusing them of abusing their power in Xsyon? I mean what are they gonna do? ....mail the items to their main account? LOL.

You're clearly complaining just to have a reason to complain.  They weren't hurting you or doing anything wrong. And if you really, legitimately had a problem then instead of anyone bring all rude to them about it you should've just recorded it all, screen shotted it, politely asked them what they were doing and why. Then if you still felt wronged, then sent all that stuff to GuideRaguel (or whoever was the lead at that time).

I mean it's like you going to an event IRL that the police are working security and you don't like that they're working on something or doing something in the particular part of the event area that you are. So you get all pissy with them....what do you expect would happen in that scenario? (You paid for "Access to the event", you don't own it. which is the same with this game as well as any other game)

There are proper channels to go through when you have a problem in that type of environment and there are proper ways to handle it. It's clear that neither were done in this case. So, regardless how valid or legitimate your issue may be...by taking the approach you did it undermines it and makes its legitimacy irrelevant. I mean clearly...you did something to get banned from Xsyon boards and are now trying to do whatever you can to derail the game elsewhere. That alone removes all credibility from your argument.

Sorry for the wall of text (its what happens when you show up late and have to summarize so much lol)

oh and btw TL:DR is no excuse. image

That could be true, however, they had been in the area for awhile to monitor chat due to complaints against us -- they knew we, BAC, one of the most prominent tribes at the time, was there. You can see in the screenshot we have something like 4-6 people on at the time, and they were a step out of the tribe zone.

So, you moved there. Not sure how you fanbois still refute this. Would it be all good with you if the GMs used their teleportation to clear all the trees within 10 minutes around your tribal base? I was under the impression that this was a game based on survival, where resources were limited and precious. When a GM is abusing their invinciblity to rob us of resources that would otherwise be defendable and thus 'owned' by BAC, that is a problem.

Did you ever think that perhaps the Devs told them to gather from that area (long before you moved there because 1) there was less lag and thus less impact on the servers and 2) the area was most likely the most desolate with no players (most likely so they wouldn't get accused of doing what you're accusing them of). You really think they were just testing the INSANELY COMPLEX RESOURCE GATHERING SYSTEM? Actually this was their first reason. If you read my post, they told us two reasons why they were doing it. The second was that they were gathering materials to build a newb town. We even discuss the issue of having GMs perform this task in a sandbox. You glossed this thread and then decided your uninformed and hugely biased opinion was worthwhile to add -- it wasn't.

    • The Guides weren't doing anything wrong really..they were doing their job..and their job is whatever the Devs are having them do. I don't even see any screenshot that shows a Guide with the materials strapped to their backs.

    • "The guides weren't doing anything wrong" Nice argument bud. Feel free to assume I'm lying too.

    • The Guides did not steal your stuff, they didn't even touch your stuff. Anything they took was outside of your tribal area = not yours.

    • See above.

    • The Guides were not "playing the game" as most of you are chiming in with.

    • Thats actually exactly what they we're doing... or are we not "playing the game" either? Wait, is resource gathering actually part of the game?

    • The Guide account is different from their main playing account if they even have one. Anyone who thinks someone is going to be a Guide/GM in a game and not play it on another account is stupid and naive. The person is probably working as a Guide/GM for the game/company because they really like the game and most of the time were playing the game before  they became a Guide/GM. Why are you even accusing them of abusing their power in Xsyon? I mean what are they gonna do? ....mail the items to their main account? LOL.

    • Lol yeah, how are they going to abuse their power, by abusing their power? LOL. You know, GM's have something better than mail -- teleportation.

You're clearly complaining just to have a reason to complain.

I knew that the handful of people that actually read this thread and understood the problems presented in this event, the reasoning, and the reaction we're interested to hear it and probably glad I took the time to do so. I knew that this thread would give some information to potential buyers.

I also knew that people like you would respond, and I enjoy that.

They we're 'hurting' us -- see above comments. We did LEGIT have a problem, screen shotted it, asked them what they were doing and why. We still felt wrong and sent all that stuff to GuideRaguel and he confirmed that this unnacceptable practice is encouraged by himself.

Lol great analogy, except you conviently ignored the part where the 'security's actions affect the 'customer'. Perhaps they were erecting scaffolding for a banner in front of you at a ball game? No no, because part of this story is that the GMs are doing what the customers should be doing... You know, instead of making bad analogies you could just logically consider the event at hand. I know it's a stretch.

Actually we went through all of the available channels and discovered this bad practice is supported on all levels. It's clear you didnt read the thread. You can assume my language and banned status means I'm lying, but actually posting that as an argument is just hilarious. I was banned from the forums for my language and questioning of the moderation. The person who banned me has since left the team, apologized for banning me, and joined in with me on the IRC to utilize the same methods of invoking change that I was banned for.

Finally, and most importantly, I am not making an argument. I posted the details of an event with what I had for screenshots.
