So I was just reading about the Soe incident recently and was browsing soe in general and I found this funny post.

    That interview was at the end of 2005. Check this chart (from: http://www.mmodata.net/)  for what happened to SWG's subscriber base around that time. I'm sorry WOW isn't on that chart; it couldn't fit.

    Yeah swg took a tumble it seems...

    It's actually on a separate chart for 1,000,000+ subscribers, here. You can see that WOW has a draw like no other. I've managed to avoid being lured in so far.

    Those graphs, yeah like SOE are giving that guy sub numbers, which means it's guessing at best, from unreliable player sources. It's barely better than "feeling it"; "it feels crowded so it must be 10k"

    I've also heard claims that SOE gave out inflated subscriber numbers for SWG, but that is a hard accusation to prove without some sort of corporate infidelity from an insider. By the way, that site rates the accuracy of all its information, so that's SWG's accuracy rating of C versus WoW's rating of A.

    I know ive made this topic and im basically laughing at smedley but

    i still give him massive credit for giving me that year and a half with swg in its prime.

    That was my best mmo multiplayer experience to date. he gets credit for that.

    oh and planetside was aweasome but came out two months before swg so got sidetracked

    and then i went to everquest 2 and had a great mmo experience there too.

    Soe do deserve massive credit for those games for me even though im ripping him today here.
