Monthly fee?

ololuluololulu Member UncommonPosts: 164

Hey, i was thinking about giving Rift another go and thought about resubbing.

I was looking for monthly fee and found

http://eu.riftgame.com/en/products/subscriptions.php

  • Monthly

  • € 12.99 /month

  • 3-Month

  • € 35.97

  • 6-Month

  • € 59.94

When i was about to subscribe it said:

Subscription plans

1 Month ($14.99)      (10.523€ (my calculation))

3 Months ($38.97)    (27.357€ (my calculation))

6 Months ($65.94)    (46.29€ (my calculation))

1 U.S. dollar = 0.702 Euros

So how much does european really have to pay per month?

£35 for 6 month, but i think that was a one off pre order offer, take it or leave it,after that you pay full subs,£40+...but if you took the pre order offer i think it stays at £35 for every 6 months

My guess is the amount you first mentioned. I checked my account page and it says 12€ for one one month and so on.

I think the cut off date to sign up for the "founder" subscription prices was March 15th, not 100% sure about the date. Alot of games have done this.  As long as you never change your subscription you will always pay that "founder" price.  If you cancel your subscription, and resubb later you will have to pay full price.

I still didn't get the right answear, this thread isnt about founder subscription, it has 0 words about that.

Founder subscription was only available b4/start of the release.

The problem is that the link i posted in the 1st post said one price and when im about to subscribe its another price.

Is there any european that has subscribed lately? (not founder subscription!)

If there is, could you please give exact number you paid.

They did calculate 1$=1€ when i was buying CE. So i didn't buy from them.

If Trion calculates subscription as 1 $ =  1 € then i dont give them another chance.

Those prices do seem pretty high, as i'm paying £23 for 3 months in the UK. I would send support an email to clarify what the deal is with the pricing in the EU. I'm in the UK so I can only go by the UK prices.

MMOs I have played (RIFT falls in this category) charge 14.99 dollars, 12.99 euros or 8.99 pounds. 12.99 euros sounds right. The sub page (http://uk.riftgame.com/en/products/subscriptions.php opens up) for me shows 8.99 per month, 7.99 per month if you prepay 3 months, 6.99 per month for 6 months prepayment.

12.99 euros > 14.99 dollars> 8.99 pounds. The 15 (?) eurozone countries always pay more. It has always been like that.

Subs have always been cheaper for the UK and the US. This is not a problem with EU countries. It's a problem with eurozone countries (countries where euro is the official currency). 12.99 is the normal sub for euro countries. Also it's cheaper per month to get a 3 month sub than a monthly sub.

Interesting to know, wasn't aware of that seems a shame they end up paying more.

And of course I know that 3-month is always cheaper per month :)

If you buy the game time cards in retail shops on the high street, then it is £9.99 for 30 days which is ~ 11.4 euros.
