I'm enjoying it so far. It's nothing particularly special, but all around it feels well done. I like that it gives you group quests within the first hour of play and you can level each class seperately on a single character (along with a decent bit of customization on each class). Dungeons are a decent challenge. Graphics and animations are well done for a F2P. The UI could use a little work and the controls aren't as fluid as I'd like (there is a bit of lag, but lots of people playing right now), but that's nitpicky stuff. It's getting a bit grindy, but there is enough to do so you don't wind up grinding in the same spot for too long (so far anyway). Actually quite suprised I'm enjoying it as much as I am.
I agree with Magnum2103. It's surprisingly good for a f2p. Community seems good, quest storylines are pretty nice, and I'm having all-round fun so far.
So far it seems ok. The graphics are actually pretty good (once I turned off blur) and maxed everything else out. The animations feel fluid, though there is a delay from lag due to over crowded zones and server. The mob spawns are actually centralized and seem to make sense, unlike some F2P games where they are all over the map. 90% of the quests are kill quests. As for leveling speed, doesn't seem too slow. In 3 hours I got my character to level 16 and both his warrior and cleric class were caught up to his character level. By level 16 I have access to two small and easy dungeons.
Class Mechanic - At character creation you pick a Heroic Trait and this ties to your character(+damage, +healing, +hp/mp, etc). Then you choose either a warrior or mage as your beginning class. As you do quests and kill monsters you level your heroic trait(which in essence is your character level.) Your class seems to level only from mob kills. Your class level cannot outlevel your character level. At character level 5 you unlock Priest, at 10 you unlock hunter, and at 15 you unlock theif. When you unlock the class it will be at class level 1. Advanced classes require you to level certain classes first. Example - Knight - requires you have a leveled warrior to level 20. Templar requires you have Knight leveled to 55 and Priest leveled to 55.
Most of that can be found around the game site. It gets more complicated when talkinga bout class skill versus general skills, but that's the basis above.
It's worth noting that you don't get to MULTICLASS, you get to swap what class you are. So you get to keep three sets of armor, cloth/light/heavy, and whatever class you are at the moment, you wear that gear. In that, it's unique. I will probably not continue with the game, because I like skill-based systems rather than class-based systems, and although there's an interesting general and class based point allocation system -- really, this is the ultimate class based system. You get them all.
The bonus? For those of you who make a zillion alts to be able to play every class? One toon.
The models are pretty shoujo (girlie anime) but fun. I'm a grrl gamer who hates the "paint it pink" thing, and I found nothing offensive, and it even got my "awwww" a couple times. (OK, I'm a sucker for pug dogs, shoot me...)
Verdict? I like it. Not my game. Back to Eve and LOTRO.
Forgot about that Shava, good call on the clothes. You really only need to swap weapons when you change classes. Your one character has slots for cloth, light, and heavy armor. So there isn't much extra gear you need to carry around to switch classes like in some games. Would have been nice if they included weapons in the swap, but overall better than other systems that offer nothing at all for gear management.
My verdict is out on longevity for myself. I'm still playing Rift and plan on giving Aion another shot during the free re-activation week. However, I don't plan on any uninstalls at this point. The gameplay was very clean and I really liked the animations. The skills suited the classes well. For those reasons I'll keep it installed. Not sure how the cash shop will be. If they stick primarily to vanity items and maybe skill resets that could be ok.
I usually steer clear of f2p mmos.. my wife got the closed beta email and we downloaded it.. Uhh Ive been playing since it launched. Its pretty good in my opinion. I think we will stick with it a while.. since I am not currently playing any mmos. It feeds my mmo cravings without the let down of some recent big name titles :P
The graphics are crisp and clean, I don't really like the "map" based world but it's normal for F2P anime games. The class thing is a hit or miss thing for me.. It is a good thing they added the knowledge feature to each class so to allow everyone to sort of specialize and put themselves out in an independent light when LFG... However, LFG is a little strange now being that everyone can be everything, because there are still a lack of people willing to do certain jobs in a party..
They tried but as usual there are tons of DPS and lack of Tanks and Healers (mainly tanks), I end up playing the tank everytime in parties leaving my other classes to miss out on good class xp.. Also the need vs greed mechanic goes right out of the window in this game.. We can all play every class and switch on the whim, in every party I was in everyone just simply needed everything. Regardless of if they planned on actually using it for immediate impact, for those just in case I decide to play my... moments..
It's pretty fast paced which is good, sometimes the flashing of the skills on screen make me feel like having a seizure (I have to look away sometimes, just too bright and flashy), but overall it looks and plays well..
My only gripe so far is that the character XP can greatly accelerate past class XP in the later levels.. It seems that character XP is tied to both Quests and Mob hunting and Class XP is just tied to Mob hunting, which forces grinding and can get rather tedious.. Getting my Knight class to lvl 35 was pretty grindy, and I am not saying I do not like grind (whatever it takes to grow my character) but I cannot see doing that for every class being very fun..
_ the very good point is the game engine, very fast and smooth. It is good to feel a 2011 games
_ Graphism : anime style, you like or dislike style but all have to admit it is high quality
_ The class system is the original things. Thas a very good idea in my opinion ( I think it would be a very nice concept to meditate for new mmorpg). I would prefers to limit choices or make more high level combinaison but i am not the developpers ^^
Cons :
_Repetitive map gameplay :
1 small and narrow zone (remind me Legend of Edda). Not many mobs but repop is quick
in this zone you got one village to take quest to level
in this zone, you got one dungeon to go with a group
when finish you go to the next zone where you have the same things just for higher level and new decors. There are a lot of zone ^^
each villages are accessible (once discovered) by teleporter but generally once a zone is completed you will never have to come again: you just use teleporter to go from you leveling zone and the big city

I went into this game not excpecting much..To my suprise its actually pretty fun!
I dont really care for the anime style games but this one is very well done. The kind of reminds me of a remade Fiesta.
Although much better! World is small and that not cool ..All in all .. 7.8 out of 10 in my OP.
Similar assessment and I'd probably give it at least an 8 out of 10. The graphic style remindes me of Dragonica/Dragon Saga which is something I rather enjoyed. The class/progression system is full of choices and there''s planety of opportunity to upgrade skills and such even between levels.

Well I've been playing for a few days now.. and I'm not that impressed really. I do like the whole class switch idea but I just find it too much of the same 'complete the map then do the exact same thing on the next one'.
But hey the game isn't for me, I'm sure others would enjoy it though
I find it to be surprisingly enjoyable and I normally avoid anime asian mmorpgs (although I am more open minded about mmorpgs with Legion-style art direction). But this one had an attractive enough trailer to get me to download it. I don't regret it... It is surprisingly fun and polished. The art style reminds me of Zelda: Wind Waker and the community is surprisingly good for a f2p anime mmorpg. I have only done one dungeon, and it was fairly challenging. The UI is laggy though, but that might be because the game is overcrowded at the moment, either way, it is in closed beta and the issue might be addressed. I don't mind the small zones, I am use to mmorpgs having huge zones, so this is a breath of fresh air. I find it easier to get around the zones and I like the fact that people will be more concentrated in one area, which wll make it easier to find groups and make friends (hopefully).
I am really curious about the guild system, supposedly this game allows guilds to run their own cities. I am not sure if I will end up playing long enough to experience this feature since I have been checking out quite a few different mmorpgs lately.

I've only played to level 15 as a cleric and mage so far. The combat to that point is very fast so i didnt get bored of grinding mobs. I hate games where i have to spend 30 seconds and longer killing one target.
I love being able to change my class whenever i want.
Pretty cool fun game. I dont think ill keep playing it because its the same old thing ya know, but i do like it, i think its definitely one of the better ones especially if the combat pace stays the same at higher levels.

It over hyped me (and I did not not have much hype). I thought it's world looked like it was made with an imagination. but whats the point of good world if there are so many invisable walls, and useless jump butten. I know thats in many free to play mmorpgs......but usually none of the ones that are actually good......It does have some things going for it......I think.
I play wizard101 to much I love the game. but i want to find something else. I have played a few other games. just not getting into them. i like Eden eternal so far. I like the class switching. Love the landscape to. i think I have found my new game
I got the beta e-mail the other day and since I'm kind of in between games at the moment I decided to give it a try. I have played my fair share of F2P over the years but I have to say this one is far more polished looking than a lot of them. As some have said, the UI does get a little laggy during peak hours but they have 2 servers now with several channels each. I pick a lesser populated channel for my server, if possible, and don't have to many problems. Being able to switch classes and not have to swap more than a weapon is nice and really does negate the need for that umpteen other characters like with other games of this kind. I chose to concentrate on warrior, mage and hunter classes once I got rolling so those are my highest at the moment, mostly in the mid to lower 20's. My character level is at around 26 I think. I started in on the thief class last night. When you are starting at level 1 class and killing a mid 20's monster, the bar does not take long to fill. :-) Pretty sure I was up to about 15 for thief class by the time I stopped with it and I don't think I played for even a full hour. As otehr also mentioned, the class leveling does tend to slow down though as you go but it's easy enough to swap to another class for a little change in tactics. My least favorite class at the moment is Cleric... mostly because it was very hard to self-heal. If you put yourself as the focus and got hit by a monster, your focus was put on the monster instead of staying on you. (Or whoever you might be healing...) Not sure if that's been fixed yet since I haven't played that class much since the first day, but CB has barely begun so time will tell.
If the game appeals, give it a try. Uninstalling it later is no biggie if it ends up not being your cup of tea. :-)
I actually thought, like many other people, this game was just another one of those annoying F2P games. I was suprised. I'm pretty picky when it comes to anything.. especially the games I play.. I hate wasting my money or my time playing a game that isnt good. This one had my attention quick. Nothing ground breaking but still very well done.
In my opinion, game was suprise. Very good for 1 fp2 game. But...
As someone said before me, gameplay is repetitive. Class system - intro to grind.
My fun stops after quest where I need to kill 20-50 mobs or kill 50 of them to collect 8 quest items.
U done this in one zone, level up, and doing same thing in next zone, level up, new zone, same thing.
Graphic and characters are awesome, but unfortunately, total gameplay is so generic and boring on high levels.
After FW I told myself I will not even try any f2p game, tried this and hope to something new - what I get is only same crap and shit from chinese developers, but in another shape.
If u really, really bored of your life, give it try - otherwise, go play Serious Sam on uber hard mode - u sure will kill less mobs than in Eden.
My thoughts? Reasonably positive, although I don't think I'll be playing it (too many other games out there).
It's a very attractive game - the cartoon art style works really nicely (and by "cartoon" I mean cel-shaded style, not just stylized polygons like WoW). Runs totally smooth and never drops a frame even with every graphic setting maxed on a year-old mid-range PC (Radeon HD 5700).
I spent most of Saturday playing and never encountered a single bug that I noticed - it's in very good shape for a closed beta.
General gameplay is smooth, but offers absolutely nothing fresh or new. Pick up "kill 10 rats" quest, tab-target the rats, auto-attack and tap skills as they cooldown. I got bored.
The innovation they're pimping is that you can level every class on one character and switch between them instantly out of combat. To be honest this just made me feel like I had no attachment to my character. No sense of what my character "was". It was like switching between alts (different skills, different gear, different look, different play feel).
Just so everyone knows, being able to change your job class on the fly isn't this games only innovation. This game also has guild towns that are created and managed by your guild. Players can also shop in your town, and this earns your guild a revenue. This system is designed to be crucial to the games economy. Crafters will help supply the guild and adventurers will earn guild fame. Personally, I find this an intriguing system.
