All kinds. Whichever rocks my boxxors at the time.
The best use of music in a player made game video must be this though: Pervs doing lowsec doomsday (might not be so cool if you never played EVE) (And even though that isn't so much my kind of music either).
I like to immerse myself as much as I can in the game so I only listen to the game's music.
I like to do this as well, but if its a game that grips me into its atmosphere completely (such as Anarchy Online, Chronicles of Spellborn and Everquest) I turn the music completely off and use the 3D audio feature if the game has it..
But if I WERE to have a tracklist for gaming it would probably be made up of screamo for FPS games, trance for driving games, orchestral movie theme (combat and fanfare) mix for RTS and MMO's..
I'd like to enjoy the game, including the music and sound. I won't play any other music when playing games. Except sometimes I'll play some rock'n roll songs when I'm playing PES. That feels good.

My brand new bloggity blog.
Interesting that you choose a minimalist for drama.
I would never equate minimal music with drama. However, if that is your taste, may I suggest Steve Reich's "Different Trains"?
It certainly moves.

Dream Theater
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.
Edgar Allan Poe
Listening to Reich right now. Excellent. This alone is a good reason to post responses on forums like these. This is absolutely beautiful music.
There is a pulse in this kind of music that to me feels primative and raw. I prefer my drama to be that way, raw and real.
("Different Trains" touches on some of the most dramatic themes in history: world war II, the holocaust, and modern society post-war)

wow..... thank you for a new favorite artist ;D. I've been looking for more music like this.
As to answer the original post intention, I like to listen to worship music (Christian) and/or Christian rap
Am I the only one that listens to dirty dubstep while playing RTS games?
