If you head on over to the League of Legends website today, you can watch the live championship taking place! Teams have competed all year long for a shot at the $50,000 top prize, culminating in today. Check it out!

Welcome to the thrilling conclusion of League of Legends Season One! For the past nine months, League of Legends teams all across the globe have been fighting furiously to establish themselves as championship contenders. Now, the Season One Circuit has come to a close, and the top eight teams from North America, Southeast Asia, and Europe have gathered together to compete for their share of a $100,000 prize purse and the right to call themselves the greatest League of Legends team in the world. Here at Dreamhack in Jönköping, Sweden, the League of Legends Season One Champions will be crowned, taking home a grand prize of $50,000!

    I was dissappointed with the high amount of disconnects it had for a championship series. A few DCs truly decided the outcome of the game.

    Hmm.. Interesting.. I would like to see more people use uncommon champions though.. You got skills right? I wanna see a tournament like the sealed draft of Magic the Gathering.. Random champions..

    Plus the fact that the EU servers have been down for most of the tournament, makes dreamhack quite a fail for lol players, though for Riot its been a success with viewing figures.
