Why not just make a MMO with entirely PvP instanced content?

Seriously?  Hellgate is listed here as an MMO.  Anyway, OP, we have that.  Hellgate and Planetside are both purely pvp games and you see how well both do financially for their owners.

I didn't know Hellgate even had PvP. Perhaps you meant Fury. Planetside was hugely popular in it's heyday. The developers made some unpopular changes, which caused the population to decline, along with the age of the game.

I still do not understand why peoples pay monthly subscription for an instanced MMO if you just can play any multiplayer game without subscription.

There is even Global Agenda, which exactly this: completely Instanced PvP mmo without monthly subscription.

That's changing.  Look at CoD.  They are going to item malls and "freemium" style as well.  All these companies are looking for more and more residual income after the box sale and wrapping them all up in this pretty little box called, here is your new FREE TO PLAY game hoping you don't read the fine print.

instanced pvp in a MMO makes  the game feel unconnected to itself. Full loot open world pvp is where the real pvp fun action is at. WAR proved the instanced PVP for pvpers to level only pvping if they so wished didn't make the game popular, it was rather dull, now if it had gone the  smealess open world pvp route it would have been a success as a pvp MMO and not shrink into a small part of the MMO pie for the IP its on.

There us such games: DOTA, HoN, LOL

PS: All great games, but they are not a MMO in any form, but match your description most.

They have 40+vs40+ 3-24 hour long PvP battles with PvE elements mixed in?

    cause thats basically Old AV

Oh yeah, lots of Customization to skills. Thats a key feature of a MMORPG that I would also like. Does it have all this? If so, Link this to me please.

World of tanks is pure pvp, its 15 on 15 capture the flag or kill the other team first and screw the flag.

I have played most mmo's since UO and know the rush of killing someone and "chopping off their head" and i'm quite enjoying the pvp in this game.

    15 vs 15 is LAME

    WoW's AV has 40 vs 40

If you cant beat that as a CoRPG PvP, than thats pure lame.

Because that sir, is not an MMO.

    Go and play CoD.

EDIT: Just noticed the poster above me...

Whilst I agree with any instancing at all to be 'lame', you're a spotlight poster... Really? Judging from the nature of that reply, you're about 12. Or maybe that's just the mentality of a WoW player, I don't know?

As a spotlight poster for one of the biggest MMORPG resources, you shouldn't be posting pathetic little uninformative, uneducated replies like that.
