Earlier this summer, Dragon Nest won the MMORPG.com award for Best PvP at E3 2011. In a new developer blog on the official site, Desmodeus, the lead producer for Dragon Nest, talks about PvP in the game and what makes it so unique, particularly focusing on skills, not stuff.
Skillz, not Stuff
When it comes to PvP, I believe that player skill rather than equipment should make the difference in whether you live or die, and this is true in Dragon Nest. For instance, we put a system in place that balances damage output between players of different levels. That means that you won’t be able to dominate the arena simply because you happen to have a 24th level Bow of Awesomeness. Learn to use your skills and combos effectively, and you can beat a higher level opponent.

Can't wait to get my hands on this game. I keep reading about the PvP and it reminds me of Guild Wars PvP...skill based, not armor based. Wish there was more info on what type of 8v8 battles there will be, and more explantion over all on the PvP. Hurry up with the OPEN BETA already!
this game is soooo fun..... the only problem is me, sucking on PvP... xP
I was in the beta and it is definitely fun but there are some issues with it. Such as the difficulties not being as difficult as they should be.

Looks like an interesting game, but the website states that "The Open Beta will be available to residents of the United States, Canada and Australia". So guess I'm out, being as I'm from the UK.
Yeah we are waiting on Nexon Europe to pull their fingers out, BUT for the time being we have the SEA global version, now this will have serious issues when it comes to latency and lagg cos the servers are in singapore, CBT is on the 13th so if you can get your hands on a cbt key (they can still be found), torrent the client and play, see how it goes.. http://dn.cherrycredits.com/
Going on past events and slow releases from Nexon EU, do you really expect to see this game any time soon?
Well no, based on how long its taken for them to update vindictus page, but maybe if there is good interest in the game from a EU fan base then they may fast track it, potential money does make things go faster in some cases.
