The game is fun and all, but to everyone out there, when you are a high level, and to start kicking ass in raids and pvp, like siege wars, you'll have to pay lots of money. with all the armor upgrading and weapons upgrading, the whole game is just about equipment stats.

don't forget that within a month beta testing for chapter 4 will begin and when it comes out live, well all your gear, no matter the amount of real money invested into it, will be rendered pretty much useless. gg.
yeah, pretty much why i quit that game, to expensive to be powerful.
A F2P MMO is pay to win at end game!?! I don't believe you sir.
Most people go through life pretending to be a boss. I go through life pretending I'm not.
I don't believe too. But I know people from RoM, they are the best players and they pwnd everyone others in the game, without spending any cent. Except, they used hacks, bots and exploits.
well if you plan on continuously grinding endlessly, you might be half as powerful as people who paid for gear.
Runes of Magic is probably the most pay to win "free to play" MMORPG out right now. I'm pretty sure everybody already knows this.
Most people go through life pretending to be a boss. I go through life pretending I'm not.
i think allods beats it.
The game is about equipment and stats..I agree..
I love how crafting works in the game and at high levels with the highest recipes.....Getting an Orange/Gold item really beats taking all the white and green items I see modded in that game by the newbs who fail to realize that its better to craft a top level item first and then mod it. You don't need to blow as much money to mod equipment until you reach a certain level and if you truly know what you are doing the cost is actually minimal.
Not trying to be an asshole. Critical and Logical Behavior vs subjective analysis.
Its true you will see a lot of PAY TO WIN players, but I like the environments and areas in game...Also the game has higher performance on Linux than on Windows when set up correctly. ^_^
i think that this new chapter will make my hard earned housemaid obsolete.
how do i quote people?
Problem?
nah like my previous post, I couldn't put my own remarks about someone else's post without making it look like it was their post.
but thanks anyway
lul uses linux instead of pay to play os but pays to win f2p game!
LOL...it does get expensive , im playing the game again, not spending as much money though.....
There are many loop-holes to the "pay-to-win" idea! You dont have to pay real money to buy item shop items if you know how to make lots of many without too much of an effort... get the money.. trade ingame money for item shop items.. and you are set.. many people dont know how to win at this game without buying diamonds.. atm my only diamond source is cut off and so i have to make my lvl 65 Aok Prayer (better than chapter 3's Raksha's Magic Staff) a T9-T10 +12-16 item without buying diamonds (or buying very many..currently waiting for 2x diamonds so i can spend my $10...) anywayz.. you can pay as much real money or as little real money as you want and still be able to do endgame content! a lot of people are just too lazy to farm gold to buy diamonds from diamond sellers..
You completely miss the point... as most "Pay 2 Win" fans do.
It's not that you HAVE to spend money to win, its that you can. The game basically offers you a way to "win" instantly rather than earning it or playing the game.
The game loses a lot (if not all) sense of accomplishment when you work hard for something, and another player can just buy that work.
Simply put, no game should offer a single combat item/potion/reward/anything from an item shop. Vanity items, pets, mounts, teleport scrolls... all of those are fine.
If you called me a "Pay to Win" fan then you are completely wrong. I only use diamonds when i have to.. I only get diamonds on double diamonds and i have a limited amount of money.. i have to buy most ingame items from the item shop using gold.. Yes people can just buy items for cheap when they can send the person an advanced bind lifter to unbind the gear and make it cheaper, instead of earning it, but remember there are also the people who can't spend all their time on this game and can't take an hour or more doing an instance for gear every day... those who actually do spend hours inside instances each day take pride in getting hard-earned gear.. even though it might not be the best gear, that person worked hard for it.. thats how i have to get my gear now.. through instances.. i agree with you on most things but you dont HAVE to "Pay to Win".. more like "Pay to get ahead faster"
Why not use your money to buy P2P game? Level up, earn gold > buy game time with ingame gold, without spending cent on sub - u have all items and everything without item shop. Turn P2P completely free - win.
F2P - so sad...
umm, this game is even worse now in the pay 2 win segment, all of the elite players, are buying out the diamond seller, not
giving other players a chance, and there is a op guild, that might be hacking, but the gm's dont even look into it, they instead
look into the lower point guilds and ban people from there, i bet there might be a gm's toon in that op guild though, cause my guild has gone against it in siege war, that guild wins to fast, and has resistances and immune for like 30 seconds or more.
For the record i am a end game player with a lv 67/67/57 toon. I have played for 8 1/2 months now and have spent $40 on diamonds 5 months ago. You can play totaly free...you have to work at it but it can be done.
Core2Duo OC 3.6Ghz
6 GB RAM
Nvidia 9800 GTX+
4 clients 24/7
All under $400 LOL deal with it!
yeah, lvling is the easy part, hard part is gettin OP
Did not say I was lv capped...said I was end gamer. Im all over the server rankings and run final instances everyday.
There is a big differance in the two.
lvl cap is 67, u said you were lvl 67/67
This game is laggy & full of bug, without any real customer support.
You have 2 options to advance in game (3rd is bot /cheat seems silly to me):
1. If go to item shop & spend 100 to 300 $ per month & you gonna win. Next month or 2 new update will *kill* your hardly payed items.
2. You play for free, spend ages of boring grind, buy item shop items from ingame money trade. Once all done, most probably game will update & all your efforts will became obsolete.
In both cases I can see only 1 winner: greedy & lazy Frogster.
BTW: useless to look their forum for feedback: if you post the truth about game, Frogster will or del your post, or, if you insist, ban you from forum.
Long ago in USA from was published (then deleted) calcs to make your character ready for raids (lvl 1 - 50 was at time), so med price was 750$ and high was 1k $.
After spending 750$ I got hacked & lost all, nobody cared to help me out, beside by the time my gear became useless. So I told to myself: never again.
If I want to play WoW style game, I'll better.... choose WoW. =D
try before buy, even if it's a game to avoid bad surprises.
Worst surprises for me: Aion, GW2
