I know the dwarves were all turned to stone but it would be nice if they spun some lore to bring them back somehow. Maybe if they came back they can teach the world to use 2 handed axes and we can have those as well >.>. Game feels weird without muh big nasty swinging for the fences and dwarves are a pretty good pillar race for most games. The races they have now are pretty diverse but I'd like to see em in there. Feels like there is an empty spot without the lil sturdy turds.
Nothing against dwarves m'self so I'd like to see them, too. In fact, the dwarves of Guild Wars were actually one of the more pleasant races to be around. Anyway, there are dwarves left, just not the dwarves we fought alongside. The Stone Summit dwarves (the once bad guy types) might have a change of heart and decide that there's something worthwhile about us after all and join our ranks. The only problem there though is that they wouldn't actually be stoneform dwarves, they'd just be dwarves.
The thing with stoneform dwarves is that they become a statue after X amount of time in their stoneform and once they've changed to it they can't revert. So even if we did get the Stone Summit on our side (everyone gets tired of warring eventually) they'd still just be normal dwarves instead of stone dwarves.

Hmm.. I'll be honest here... I don't know enough about the lore to give a more thought out responce on races. I have the GW games minus the last expansion, but I haven't been able to play through them. I have the 2 novels, but I am trying to finish the Wheel of Time story before reading through the 2 books I bought. Thanx for the info Dream cause I wasn't aware of who the stone dwarves were. I assumed they were called that cause of a curse. But I'd take just regular dwarves over no dwarves. Or hey, maybe there can be a bit of a lore twist where the gods give us a way to revert them back or give them a chance to shine again. Either way thanx for that lore info, let's me know I have a lot to learn before the next game hits.
Hylek - makes sense as well since players will venture into water as well. Guess what would be their swimming animation...hehehe
Quaggan - impossible, devs said they are the one race being always friendly and never taking arms.
Krait - these guys on the other hand are always evil so they would be at odds with every other single race.
Centaur - impossible. Swimming animation would be beyond stupid and for balance reasons they would have to have same run speed as players which is....well....try running as fast as horse;p
Kodan - possible
Skritt - highly unlikely. They are dumb beyond belief when solo. They only get smarter in groups. Think cranium rats from PS:T
Naga - very unlikely, they aren't liked enough to warrant introduction as playable race.
Stone Dwarfs - they lost all that made them and hteir only purpose is fighting destroyers. ANet doomed them for a reason - too generic.

I thought it would be cool if there was a Wilferd type dog race. In every game.
QUAGGAN! They're amazing.
The Tengu.
They could have made Centaurs playable but they just couldn't figure out how to make them swim lol.
This is not a game.
Tengu, by a longshot.
Buddhist Polar Bears
Are you team Azeroth, team Tyria, or team Jacob?
Although they would not make any sense.
Tengu - makes sense
