Trion Staff assist RIFT player to propose to his gf in-game!

They were in the same room, so he didn't actually propose online...but the Trion staff showed some class here by assisting with the in-game event.

Well it will certainly be something to horribly embarrass their children with in a couple of decades.

By then it will be normal since most couples communicate more digitally than in person these days.

That was wonderful.  Brought a tear  to my eyes.  Congratulations you too.  May the Vigil watch over you both, always, from this moment on to forever.

Got to admit. Nice touch by Trion for doing that. This game has alot of good stuff. Still needs some work in some areas but TRION is doing their best to make it a wonderful experience.

It shows that Trion likes it's customers. More importantly, it shows that Trion understands good PR.

My girlfriend called them a few days ago to ask them to broadcast an in-game message server-wide for my birthday without telling me. Unfortunately, it didn't happen, because they got my character name wrong and it returned "player not found", but they mailed me and my GF in-game with profuse apologies saying that they'll get it next time.

Great company! treat you like a human being!

The couple will be honeymooning at a small cottage in Moonshade. The Groom is a professor at The College Of Planar Studies. The bride makes and sells dyes in Sanctum.

Seems like TRION is mmo company as every mmo company should be since it's all about people in this games. Really cool and makes you feel like every person is important in that game (to me atleast). Thumbs up from me!

Sorry korent, I felt like every other chicken with his head cut off trying to complete a quest. Questing is childs play! And to what end? After the free week...I joined a guild and there was already a guy that was lvl 39....It's my guess that just about everyone in Rift is lvl 50 by now...I reached lvl 23 after a week and saw that my guild master just reached lvl 50. Two weeks into the game and ppl have reached lvl 50...I'm sorry...my joy ended when I realized that this is a carebear game.

Played Wow, D and L, AOC, GW, Eve, Rift and many more insignificant games.

If Trion would now also help some gamers to otherwise get rid of their aggro housewifes, we'd be a very happy gaming bunch altogether :)

They really are a great company. I love their humor when they need to quickly take down servers for hotfixes. They will even respond to people, it's just great.

No offense but i am so tired of this hard -core carebear bull. I like that some people can get to 50 and play the part of the game they enjoy. but yet also we who want to play slower and take our time to explore the world can. Rifts honestly is alot of fun to play with it's soul system though their is alot of "elite" speccs for each archetypes, but any of the soul combos i have used which i have used all but the pvp ones are viable and fun to play. some souls need helping and work but what game does not have that. The story s ncie, and the events as well as instaces are fun to do.

NWO on topis that was fn and interesting as well as nice to see them do i hope to see more of ti. COngrats to them and everyone else that has had it done for them.

Yeah I really like Trion as a company, very impressed. Shame I can't say the same about the product though.

Congratulations on mimicing Ultima, Everquest, and Gearbox for having a company directly meddling with your proposal/wedding and following in the footsteps of the many others that stock wedding items so anyone can host such themselves any time they desire?

By no means a first like some of the people on that site seem to be saying,  though kinda going back to when they used to do this stuff more. Nifty.

congrats - I would have been the one killing the attendees, reminds me of a wedding in EQ on Tallon Zek that I crashed and by crashed I mean killed the bride and groom - I was hunted everyday for a long time.  lol

Jesus, sure fine and all, but oh my does it look and sound pathetic, proposing and broadcasting your proposal to your girlfriend on a computer game.

seriously, grow the fuck up, its not even original anymore.

And being "grown up" and creative would entail having a final fantasy avatar?

Then again also I find it a bit too geeky for myself, albeit not to the point of the above poster, but happy for them. Oh well grats to the couple, and nice of Trion. I miss the old EQ1 days when GM events were commonplace.

You mean the old, "Hey, lets spawn some nasty elites in the n00b area and kill everyone!  We can give some loot out afterword and everyone will be happy!

So true, I miss them as well!  EQ1 was a blast!

I don't see why anyone finds this sad, I am sure there was some special meanings for them to do it in RIFT. I do not think it's any differant then some of the other "stupid" ways guys propose to their girlfriends...
