5 euro extra to pre order from origin ? WTF, they really want to suck out every coin out of us. I never pay extra to pre order anywhere. I just ordered a copy at my local retailer at no extra cost.

And from past experience, CE's are never worth it.

The CE price is absurd tbh. Likely driven up by the incredibly expensive figurines (they cost 100+$ from their store), for which I frankly don't care.

I would have really liked a box, but all the physical stores were oblivious of the pre-orders starting. So I got the digital deluxe version pre-ordered. But my god what a mess, between my order confirmation mail not containing the needed serial key for the headstart and the Origin site simply giving up on working (as well as being hard to navigate), it took me hours to get everything in order.

I found it a bit strange to get confirmation of an order and told to go register with the "serial code above" and there isn't one...

I have the same exact issue. I have called EA, I have called Origin, I have turned over tables, and no one knows anything except that "your order was complete". If it has complete, where the hell is my damn code? I don't even have my order in my order history in my Origin.com account. Pathetic.

My order history also didn't show up correctly and I had the exact same problem as you (the site wouldn't even load half of the times).

But suddenly the order did show up for some reason. So just keep trying.

edit: try to enter your order number together with your password and search for your particular order, then just let it load and keep trying, it eventually turned it up for me...

I have to agree though, it's pathetic.

Why they can't have one big fat (and more importantly: working) button to view your orders and serials on their site is beyond me.

UPDATE: So instead of calling, I tried for a 3rd time to chat with Origin. Their "Live Chat" was finally available, I spoke to them, answered their questions, got a bit mad when they gave me the same information I have been getting. However, when I asked if they can just give me the Digital Rights code, they did. And I'm finally registered here with my Pre-order code.

So, advice: Use the Live Chat button at http://help.origin.com

not buying this garbage. i will be enjoying Deus Ex in a few weeks however. should keep me busy until Skyrim, which will keep me busy until GW2. it's an excellent year for games, too bad TOR turned out to be such a downer.

Yeah, but I tried that first as well, and it took me to a website called force.com for which I had to register but couldn't (don't know why I even had to register something).

Anyway, I'd try searching for your order with your order number if that doesn't work.

I'm not sure how a game that isn't even out yet can be classified as a "downer".

I used thier live chat about 4am east coast time.   I had some odd things showing up in my Origin order history and hadn't gotten my "code".   The agent asked for one of two pieces of information (origin email address or reference number).   They then told me that my order had actually gone through and there was nothing to worry about.

It was probably almost another hour before the email came.   I didn't order a digital version but based on how messed up my "order history" was... I can see where it will be a bit for that code to show up through origin.    For anyone curious I basicly the last time I looked had 4 different half garbled things in my order history all for July 21st.   All of them had the billing zip code wrong.. even tho my order confirmation email had it right.   I have no idea where that zip code in order history even came from.   So I was actually wondering if they kept trying to charge it because it would trip the fraud alarm for my bank.   I really do wonder what the heck was going on with the order history lol...

*edited to add*  I just saw the comment about the poster being taken to another website when trying to use live chat.   When I clicked on live chat it basicly just opened a small "live chat" window.. and I was actually connected to an agent in less than 30 seconds.   Which I thought was pretty amazing ...

It's funny how after I call them, and get my code, all of a sudden the game shows up in my games list in Origin. Even with them saying "the game will only show when it's released". *sigh* Ah well, it's purchased, it's registered, now here's hoping for a good game.

Im actually excited to see how this game turns out since im bored with the other MMOs out atm, but 150 dollars for Collectors Edition is a bit steep, i can pay for it no problem but jeez thats expensive, i know its not necessary to buy it but for people thats big fans and in this economy its up there. Lets just hope its not gonna be like FFXIV and people buy that just to get burned, Anyone know if, and when this might actually come out on the market to play or is that still under lockdown.

Applications for MMO guilds??? Sorry not that pathetic just yet

Why do some of you people bother to even respond to this thread?  It's clear from some of your replies that you have no interest in the game and no intention of pre-ordering it/playing it so why do you even bother posting?  Yes the CE is pretty high priced, yes there is no release date announced but to those of us that ARE interested in the game, don't mind spending the money for what we want and believe the game will be great, will do so.  You don't need to bother with your critcizing and your b!tching about the things everyone is already aware of.  The title of the thread is:

Star Wars: The Old Republic: Pre-Order Now Available!

clearly you must of read that before you clicked on it, so don't come in here spouting off.  You have a different game you're going to play, fantastic!  Then go to that forum and be hyped about it, this happens to be the game we're hyped about, to each his or her own.  You've been burned in the past by pre-orders?  Sorry to hear that, doesn't necessarly mean it's going to happen again.  Is it really that big of a deal, it irritates you so much that you feel the need to come here and fill up the thread with your bullsh!t, thereby making it harder for the rest of us to find info that we are looking for (I realize this post is contributing to that but it needed to be said).

    Just keep it to yourself.

    Dont poeple learn !

I am Waiting till the game comes out then i will read what's up. Its so funny how marketing gimicks like this catch the same type of person over and over again.

There is fool born everyday ... so companies are really guaranteed of recurring income from Hype-no-twats.

Actually you are right, it does say

Star Wars: The Old Republic: Pre-Order Now Available!

That doesnt mean people arent intitled to there opinion , last time i checked forums were free for people to express there feelings on subjects that matter to them. Who are you to tell people to be quiet because they arent spouting out things like "Pre-ordered" "Just bought the CE""Getting the DDE as we speak"

I plan to buy it when the CE edition price drops a little (If its still around) but that doesnt mean i think its overpriced(Just means im not ready to drop $150+tax on something that is not proven), am i not intitled to say that?

I'm new here. I enjoy the player interest in the games. And the columns and contributors. But it is really too much work and grief to express a thought here; if the trolls don't get you the censors will. I think I will be content to just read from now on.

£130 for a CE is far too much, is it gold plated?  I'll stick to the bog standard version :D

Nope, its an edition for the collectors. And hence only collectors buy it. Standard for the average crowd.

What I don't get is why do you have to download the game for early access only to have the physical game on dvds become usless once its shipped to you? Shouldn't they ship it even before early access?

    Same for Brazil.

They want to keep a high quality of service so they do not lesser distant countries pre-order the game to taint the quality of service, because that is the exact impression the error message gives.

Pre-order, with no release date, and 3 times the cost (for full CE) of what a normal PC game normally sells for (~$50)? Sure! It's Star Wars! :)

    so...

If intitled was a word, you might be entitled to use it. Then again your forum name is prototypo.  So that might explain it.  I think you understood my point, and I understand what you are saying, yes the forums are free to express yourself (to an extent) but there are also some ethics and common courtesy that should be adhered to but that will probably never happen.  What you are saying isn't really something I was griping about but I think you know that and just felt the need to try and come back on me for a perfectly legitimate rant (is one of those even possible?)  Enough flooding of the forums with this, anything else, send me a message.
