Battleship. The game. The movie?

Battleship, a new movie based on the popular Hasbro game (yes, that one), is to hit theaters next year.

How they implemented aliens, or something like aliens, is quite puzzling.

I'm convinced that Hollywood has been running out of original ideas for a long time now. I was at the theater last night and every movie trailer was either based off a book, a comic book, or was a sequel. Well other than "Cowboys vs. Aliens" but man what an original idea that is.

But then I did a little research and from what I can see they took plotlines from "The Searchers" and "Unforgiven" but then threw in some aliens.

So now that books, comic books, and other movies are overdone and video game movies tend to suck, hollywood is resorting to using bord games as their muses but then someone pointed out that "Clue" already had a movie based on it so this bordgame movie phenomena isn't tha new either.

"It's an amazing feet to duplicate a thread on the first page."

Hehe sorry wasnt trying to duplicate it and it was not on the 1st page-unless you view the list not signed in to the site then the page list gets longer, if I had seen it I would have posted in it.I also ran a search with the word Battleship as well and this sites search feature came up empty.

Anyways it looks like Hollywood has "Risk" in the works too lol.

As I, but it turned into a double face-palm when I saw aliens were involved.

I had the same reservations of this film as well. But I think they handled it nicely. I really enjoyed the movie. *Rise of the Planet of the Apes*

I watched Cowboys and Aliens and it had the trailer for Battleship on it. I was not impressed with the trailer at all, and was disappointed by the Cowboys and Aliens movie.
