Which race and profession?

Just wondering what everybody think they are gonna choose when the game is released.
I personally choose Charr Engineer.

Charr warrior will be my first guy rolled, but I plan on playing all races. I also plan on rolling all classes except ranger of the classes we currently know of.
Incase someone wants to know my other race/classes.

I have to admit that I am a bit surprised by the leading race, and class choices so far. Also by the lack of comments here.

I will definitely be playing the all powerful Asura.
However, the profession that I will be playing is quite undecided. If all of the hints that they (Arena Net) have made are leading us to the Mesmer being the final profession, then I will definitely, hands down, play a Mesmer. However, if it is a profession that does not have to do with the mind, then I will be playing a little Asura Guardian. LET ME JUMP AT YOU WITH MY MIGHTY-NESS!
Human thief as my main.
Charr warrior as an oft-played alt.
Never been much into spellcasters, but I could see a Sylvari ele and/or an Asuran necro.
Norn ranger, perhaps.
Human mesmer, since I already have a story for him.
Hmm...engineer....not sure. Maybe Charr again. But an Asuran engineer who has flipped out and gone Mad Bomber would be lots of fun too.

Female Norn Ranger (alt)....I just want to be a big woman that loves nature and animals, what can I say?

This is a very hard choice for me
There are so many good combinations! 
I think Ill roll in this order
Sylvari (maybe Asura)- Necro
Huma (maybe Silvari)- Sin
Asura - Ele (or Eng)
Char - Eng
Norm - War
Human - Guardian

.
.
Really hard choice, I have always been set on a Charr, female necromancer but now I'm looking at Sylvari, male necromancer, I just don't know at this point. I think I want a sneaky little male asuran thief too, who knows?
What about that Norn, female ranger, totaly in tune with her pet and the wilds? The human, male engineer whose a bit stupid and keeps blowing himself up? If that last class is a mesmer there goes another spanner in the works...Far too many choices for my poor brain to handle, I won't be surprised if I end up with two necromancers either, won't be the first time I've had two max level characters of the same class in an mmo 
DAMN! That was my idea, that dreadful Sylvari week has given the Sylvari way too much popularity!
Human or Asura Engineer as first.
Then Ill have to chose between Necromancer, Warrior , Mesmer. With as race either Human, Charr or Asura.
Not sure about Thief and Ranger yet.
Don't think Ill roll a Sylvari. And the professions Elementalist and Guardian are not that interesting for me either.
Tough call for me. I'll really have to see how strong the racial elites are. If they aren't worth an elite slot, I'll probably go asura -- being tiny is fun. Sylvari and Norn seem interesting as well, though.

I can't believe the Norn are the least popular race so far.
My human male thief challenges your female sylvari thief to a thief off (rules decided by me and after the event is over)! Loser of said contest must then wear ignominiously the title of 'Got Served' and watch a slew of those terrible dance contest movies that were so popular back...whenever.

Not sure what profession for Asura yet. If Mesmer or Mesmer-like profession is the 8th then that. If not then probally Necro.

As it looks right now I plan to make 3 characters which I each will play a day or so and pick the one that is most fun to play as my main:
Human ranger (like my GW1 main)
Norn warrior
Sylvari thief
The thief actually seems most fun in the vids but I really need a few hours with each class before I am even close to making an educated decision. I usually do this when I start a new game, I often end up with a different class than I thought I would.
As a scandinavian of viking descendant are the norns rather interesting to me. On the other hand do the sylvary sounds like many fun hours of roleplaying. As for humans I think I should try out one in honor of the first game. I am not found of furries or small cute inventors.
Ranger is a class I usually enjoy in MMOs, not really for the pets but I like archers. Since I also likes muskets I decided to make a warrior. And the video of the thief that makes those outragous knife attacks really hooked me on the thief.
But anything can happen, my main in EQ2 were a drow dirge, neither of the three classes and races I tried at start, I had a half elven swashie as main for the first year but then changed my main since my guild needed a good bard and it was easy to get into any group or raid with one.

I kbnow I'm going to be Sylvari... But for the prof I do not know. I just want to spam something, whether it be turrets, spirit weapons, or minions... So Im not sure. XD
