A mysterious new MMO project developed by Southern California-based Carbine Studios (owned by NCsoft) emerged one month ago. The game catches lots of attention because of its developer team that includes many former WOW developers. Today at GamesCom, NCsoft officially brought it to the audience. WildStar is the name, and a trailer together with several images can tell you a lot about the game.
It didnt look that interesting to me at first, but then I read somewhere (massively I think) that this game does not only have combat classes but also settlers and scientist etc for different kind of gameplay, if so, and the game will be somekind themepark/sandbox hybrid it could turn out fresh and fun. Early to tell but who knows, pleasant surprises are so thin and far between in mmorpg world
I like that even though its from ncsoft it seems to have been designed for the western market(as far as the art style) not your typical asiany girly-boy.
MMO's are the ark of the gaming world. Let it take us in new directions.
Ahaha~~~You are right ! Actually , at first I don't want to try this game, then I know something about it ,I feel interesting.
graphically it looks nice but im going to wait for more info... as far as i know its only 3 classes that are gender locked while im not too worried about genderlocking.. i kinda wanna see a chick gunner or that merc guy as a female as well for some variety
And there my interest went crashing down about this title hehe. But yes, no point in getting hypes up or down before some solid info somewhere along the line.
I'd welcome a good new sandbox style game. Many of the games coming out these days tend to just be variations an the traditional RPGs. While creating something fresh and different is risky, it also has more potential than another "me too" game.
not sure if serious...
GW1, GW2 coming, city of heroes, plenty non asians mmos from ncsoft, in fact that is a pretty ignorant comment to make about ncsoft, which is a publisher for many games, and only really has Aion and Lineage and as publisher and developer
