What exactly carries over from GW1 to GW2

I think the developer video mentioned that your deeds carry over into a hall of legends. I may have the exact names wrong. Is this basically an acheivement system or are there actual in game rewards you'll get in GW2 based on achievements in GW1?
I'm pretty much sold on GW2 but am not sure how much time I can give to GW1. But then again it all depends on when GW2 releases.

It is same game with better graphic, nothing new. Mixture of GW,D&D and WOW.

GW2 is nothing like GW1.
I have a challenge for you! I want you to watch both the PAX east panel and the PAX GW2 event panel (the 10 videos listed on the right side of the youtube page I linked) they give a clear idea of the design of GW2 dynamic events.
After you get done watching both sets of videos, I want you to come back here and provide a link from GW, DDO, and WoW that has everything in it that the Dynamic Events from GW2 has. Now do not provide me a link with only one or two things in it that game has to have everything in it, since you said it is nothing new these games must have all the features!
God I love the misinformed that try to down play a game because they are not interested in it, it is just so much fun watching them struggle to make actual critic to a game they know really nothing about.
