Is there or will there be a free trial?? After Mortal Online and Xsyon I will never pay for an Indie Sandbox again without trying it out. I would rather save my money than waste it on a game that should not be out of alpha.

I think I did see that there was a free trial, though from the "deadness" surrounding Earthrise I would probably hang off a few months and see what the current state of the game is then...

There is a free trial out, though it hasn't been officially announced because there are still some snags in the starter area.

***Now please read this if you try it out:***
- The quest in the starter area for "Roadkill Dogs" is broken. Ignore it for now.
- The "Warden" for one of the starter quests outside of the Northern Camp is down the hill on the right. I say this because it's not clearly labeled wher he is.
- The best skills for PVE are Precision Rifles Tiers, Armor Tiers, and Precision Rifle skills #1 which is a high damage ability, and #4 which is a root that allows you to kill mobs before they get to you, outside of their damage range.
- Different guns in the game have their effective ranges. Take note of these on the gun descriptions and your distance from the mobs when using them.
- Don't get discouraged if you die. There are hundreds of mob spawns in the game. Find the right one for your skill level. Feel free to explore either West (for Continoma) or East (for Noir) of the Northern Road Camp. I would suggest West because the spawns there are much better.
- If you have any questions, please ask them in /yell chat. You can do this by typing /yell and pressing enter, then typing. You can whisper a player by typing /w Name and pressing enter, then typing.
- Keep in mind this game has a very heavy PVP focus in the endgame, with sieging of bases, territorial warfare, guild politics, open world PKing, various hotspots, and so on. The endgame PVP is really what is most enjoyable in ER.
