As ive watched "Little Nicky" he always says h20.. I know its true that water is the best, however studies proved that gatorade replinishes more than water is that for real?

If you're just thirsty then water is fine. If you're dehydrated Gatorade and it's competition provide some electrolytes, mostly salts, and some sugar, mostly high fructose corn syrup that help you rehydrate after a lot of physical exertion or exposure to high heat.
Gatorade type drinks have their uses for athletes and manual labor but for everyday use they provide little benefit over water. Most people in the U.S. get more salt and sugar daily than they should without adding more. The sugar is there moslty to make salt water more appealing to drink
Without water, Gatorade wouldn’t be Gatorade, it would be closer to a pile of table salt and sugar with some fortified elements like potassium included. Does this mean that water is “better” than Gatorade? Well, If Gatorade fills you with energy and leaves you feeling great after a hard workout, there’s no reason to switch to water, and vice versa.
i like water myself but will drink some gatorade when i feel its necessary.
i like the glaceau smart water, they put electrolytes in it n stuff also love their vitamin waters.
i've been drinking chocolate milk after work outs also as studies have been showing it makes a really good sports drink heh. (offtopic part sorry :P)

Gatorade is a brand of sports-themed food and beverage products, built around its signature product: a line of sports drinks. Gatorade is currently manufactured by PepsiCo, distributed in over 80 countries. The beverage was first developed in 1965 by researchers at the University of Florida, to replenish the combination of water, carbohydrates, and electrolytes that the school's student-athletes lost (in sweat) during rigorous athletic competitions. Its name was derived from the collective nickname of the university's athletic teams, "the Gators".
Originally produced and marketed by Stokely-Van Camp, the Gatorade brand was purchased by the Quaker Oats Company in 1983, which sold it to PepsiCo in 2001. As of 2010, Gatorade is PepsiCo’s 4th-largest brand, on the basis of worldwide annual retail sales. It primarily competes with Coca-Cola's Powerade and Vitaminwater brands worldwide; plus, Lucozade Sport in the United Kingdom. Within the United States, Gatorade accounts for approximately 75 percent market share in the sports drink category.
So all in all, choose gatorade if you're a sporty / athletic type of person.
I think H2O remains the best simply because water is afterall nature's source of life. Gatorade doesn't do anything you can't replicate yourself while using only natural elements, put some sugar and salt in your water if you truly need it.

I really really hated the taste of gatoraid, until I started working out outside down south(it actually tasted decent afterwards).

My understanding is the Gatorade was orginally formulated with the most elctrolytes and most carbohydrates that could be emptied from the stomach as fast and plain water. But I guess that doesn't necesarily mean that the water in Gatorade is still absorbed as fast as plain water, it just means that you will get the carbs in the fastest way possible. I believe that sports drinks are not needed for efforts less than 2 hrs.
Gatorade is not technically an energy drink, it's a sports drink. Energy drinks are things like red bull, and others. Sports drinks on the other hand, have a concentration of water similar to that of blood so that it can be absorbed as quickly as pure water (I don't know about faster). And, of course, you quickly absorb the electrolytes and sugar quickly as well, but whether or not that's important depends on the intensity and duration of your workout (and how much you sweat, since you lose a lot of electrolytes in sweat)
Water is a chemical substance with the chemical formula H2O. Its molecule contains one oxygen and two hydrogen atoms connected by covalent bonds. Water is a liquid at ambient conditions, but it often co-exists on Earth with its solid state, ice, and gaseous state (water vapor or steam). Water also exists in a liquid crystal state near hydrophilic surfaces.
Water covers 70.9% of the Earth's surface, and is vital for all known forms of life. On Earth, it is found mostly in oceans and other large water bodies, with 1.6% of water below ground in aquifers and 0.001% in the air as vapor, clouds (formed of solid and liquid water particles suspended in air), and precipitation.[5] Oceans hold 97% of surface water, glaciers and polar ice caps 2.4%, and other land surface water such as rivers, lakes and ponds 0.6%. A very small amount of the Earth's water is contained within biological bodies and manufactured products.
CONSERVE WATER! DRINK GATORADE!

I'm Not Sure.
The absorption rate question was really directed at the benefits/drawbacks of Gatorade vs. water. How fast it gets into your system is part of the issue, but people have been giving a lot of info on what gets into your system too, which is great. I didn't know a lot of this stuff before, so it'll help me be smarter about how I drink during games and workouts in the future.
Gatorade is not a post workout recovery drink. It is a fluid, elecrolyte, and enery replacement drink. It should be used during an activity of a duration long enough to require replacement of all of these. I use it for efforts of greater than 3 hours but I start ingesting it around the 90 minute mark. I also drink water and take in solid food like bananas, fig newtons, energy bars, etc. For efforts of 6 hours or more I will ingest a minimum of 1000 calories with as much as half will coming from a sports drink.
I would drink both, but Gatorade is intended to replace water and electrolytes in HARD training lasting OVER 1 HOUR, and/or in HIGH HEAT training lasting more than 30 minutes. It’s proven Gatorade can help improve hydration and hence performance… UNDER THESE CONDITIONS! Gatorade is not “magic”. It is water with sucrose (table sugar), dextrose (another type of sugar), Sodium (salt), Potassium, and flavoring. Gatorade is mixed as a 6% carbohydrate solution to facilitate faster emptying from your stomach/gut to rehydrate you faster while providing fuel for working muscles. You could make your own similar drink Many salts and nutrients you need are sweat out during excsersize, and replacing them while working out is beneficial to you (Gatorade). Similarly, when working hard, you may find that you can lose upwards of 3-6 pounds of water, so it is important to replace that. However, the molecules in Gatorade are a bit bigger, and not as readily available to become sweat as water alone. Gatorade however, can still not provide the benefits of water in terms of long term hydration.
I think H2O remains the best simply because water is after all nature's source of life. Gatorade type drinks have their uses for athletes and manual labor but for everyday use they provide little benefit over water.
H2o.. this is the best. and its more healthier than gatorade. maximize the gift of mother nature.
gatorade. I want to be like tiger woods. hahaha
