Why WoW Rocks: A StormWind Raid Photo Album I found (also in WoW Forums)

Some nice screens in WoW and show this game owns!

Here's an album of raid photos. A bunch of horde guys are in StormWind!! Those of you guys who said it was impossible might be wrong. Looks like they have an open road to kill King Wyrnn. Of course there will still be plenty of huards and other npcs in the way, but I don't think they can do much to stop this angry mob.

Unfortunately it ends there cuz I can't find the screens to what really happens. But I'm gonna think they killed Wyrnn and none of the horde members made it out alive.

    Only one that impressed me was the last screenie. I haven't seen that many players on the screen since back when I played UO.

    WoW is very well polished and the PvP is pretty damn fun.

    But not worth putting up with the same old grind over and over again. The game is suited for people who haven't yet realised that the days of levels and mob grinding should be over.

    This is at no means a bash to WoW, but that screen is to cluttered with skills. That was one major turnoff of the current mmorpgs; the amount of skills that can be used. I like GW because you can only select 8. It makes it more managable.

    I wish that mmorpgs really went back to the UO skill system. I hate the fact now that every class can use some sort of magic. The only way that one could use magic in UO was to train as a mage. If you weren't a mage, you couldn't cast anything worth while.

    Yes, the PvP is fun. It's a good game and I had fun with it for about 3 months. Then, the mobs and levels and boring same crap everyday syndrome kicked in.

    Linage is a great game in its own right but I do agree the famers helped to ruin L2. If you can put up with the farmers and the grind then L2 can be for you. The pvp can really be fun.

    But yes 6 million if a true number does say a lot for a game. Even with all the problems.

    Games like AC2 and HZ with super low pops sure don't make it great games. At least not for the developers.  Niche games may sound great to the players but for the developers it can only bring certain death to them in the long run.

    This is 100% UNTRUE! CCP the makers of EVE Online live off a niche market and they make quite a nice sum of money. Enough money to plan on its continuation with FREE upgrades for the next 5 years. They only have 60,000 subscribers and are quite content. Only large companies need 100's of thousands of subscribers. CCP has 20 employees.. Compare that to SOE and Blizzard.

    WoW is an ok game. Theres nothing special about it but it does give you some enjoyment for the money. I don't play it because i prefer to play games that are pushing the genre to new areas. I like exploring new things and by that i not only mean content but game mechanics.

    Sorry if you misunderstood. To me a niche game would be 10k or lower. 60k would be a game that is doing very well inded.

    Niche doesnt describe how many people play, it describes the type of people the game caters too.  It could have 20million people subscribed and still be a niche game

    Then you dont know what niche means.  A niche game is a type that is specifically suited to a persons interests, just like this definition of niche from dictionary.com.  So an example of a niche game would be one that caters to a PvP audience.  Yes, niche games often times have less people then broad games, it really doesnt matter how many people play the game, it can still be niche.  So you see, its not that were seeing things in a different light, its that you have a misconception about what niche means, and are basically wrong.

    Just because the dictionary says it one way today does not mean it might not say it another way down the road. For gaming they could put it as I have stated. Most gamers will say a niche game is one with low pops.  

    So you can be correct in one aspect but down the road they could add it to my way. Which is why they update dictionary every year.

    Niche is a word, a word that is used outside of talking about MMORPG's.  You have a hundred other words to describe a MMORPG with low population, there is absolutly no reason to take an existing word that means something else and say well i think it should be used like this, and maybe the dictionary will change to suite how i think of this word.  A niche game is one that caters to a specific audience.  A niche TV show is one that caters to a specific audience (and will never be used to describe a TV show with low ratings).  A niche anything is one that caters to a specific audience, its that simple.

    LOL you can put it anyway you want. I didn't come up with it. This is how a lot of gamers are putting it with games that have low pops. You really need to let it go.

    In a lot of games PST means please send tell, in real world it means pacific standard time. You get it yet?

    Quit trying to generalize by saying that is how 'everyone' is using it. It is how YOU are using the word. Just accept that you were using the word in the wrong way.

    And by the way, in regards to your 'PST' comment: Acronyms can stand for anything. You can't compare an acronym and an actual word.

    nope im not , and i dont play any mmorpg right now kia , becuse dont think any game come close to what i want , i want a game with full pvp , guild  control all the cities and teritories so ppl have to be loyal to the guilds that control and so on

    Honestly, I'm just trying to help here.  You can start using the word right, or you cantm just trying to save you from a lot of confusion and embarassment down the road.  Just because HZ boards used it to describe low pops doesnt  make it any more right.  I dont understand who you're arguing with, the dictionary?

    I don't understand why you can't accept there are things updated in the dictionary years from now after people use it differently than what it was intended for. You act like the dictionary is some bible that is never updated. I agree with how they are using the word and discribing a low pop game. You can disagree which makes the world a better place. But to say it just ain't so because it isn't in the dictionary is just wrong.
