Hirelings: Gold Contracts

If you buy them for real world cash (gold contracts?) do you summon them for an hour in game and then they are gone forever, or does it have a timer and let you resumon them for a future adventure?

They are one use items that last for one hour.

There are none you can get that are repeatable?
IIRC that is one hour in quests. If you finish a quest in say 20 minutes you should still have 40 minutes of time on that hireling. Timers stop in public zones.
You are correct.
Gold hireleings can also be summoned anywhere, and you can have as many as you want. You can also just have a normal hireling, and a gold one to get two. The gold ones also appear faster for you.
No hirelings can be summoned in raids, unless that was recently changed.
