Returning player. Where did my characters go?

Haven't seen any threads about this while skimming through the forum, so thought I'd make my own.
I just downloaded CoH: Freedom to find most of my characters gone. My US characters are there though, on Pinnacle, but my European characters on Defiant are nowhere to be seen.
I haven't been keeping up with the development around Freedom, but I guess they merged the US and EU versions?
Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but I'd like to have my characters back.. Anyone know anything about this?

Mine were all there from years ago, Think its a customer support issue.

Been digging a bit for info about this while waiting for a reply from customer support.
In my opinion it's either a problem with having both American and European accounts which caused my American characters to take precedense over my Eurppean ones or that my American account has been processed for CoH: Freedom and my European account hasn't gone through processing yet.
My main is EU on Defiant. Didn't have a yank account so dunno.
Turns out my EU account changed name when they merged the servers.
Just had to add EU before my accountname.
