So i just got this game off amazon and I am doing the whole install process. I was wondering what server is the most populated and if anyone has a linkshell I can join?

Last time I played Asura was the most populated server. It was easy to get groups in the dunes, qufim and Kazham which are pretty much the grouping areas until 30 or 40.
Man this game is sweet! i have been going strong for a little over a week on Asura. I only play a couple hours a day and have accomplished a lot. So for I got the warrior job to 31 (That takes about a day now) I did the darkknight quest, samurai quest (big pain in the butt) now I have to do the chocobo license quest and i guess that takes some time.
Anyway what im getting at is the game from what im seeing making it really easy in the beginning, so noobs can kinda catch up. The player in the game are amazing. I even got help from some asian guy that didnt speak any english on my Dark Knight quest . What he did was just had me follow him by pointing and from there he just kept pointing tell i finished the quest lol

Yeah for the most part the community is very helpful but you also have a-holes in the game.
But yeah for awhile now they been making lower levels easier for new players and old players who want to level something new.
I'm really thinking of picking up this game as well...I really want a game with a community that is helpful, very casual and love to have a good time. I saw this game a few years back and have always wanted to try it. If there is a good linkshell out there that is looking for someone let me know...I'll be picking it up at the end of this next week.
Good old game, I spent a lot of fond hours on there.
I kinda miss my Dragoon.
Have you done the graphic improvement hack?
Basically doubles your resolution for the game. It's very nice.
Everything takes a while in that game. And even so far into it's lifespan, the ultimate, most legendary weapons are only owned by 1-2 people. Actually incredible. Wish there was more MMOs with that level of commitment needed to get some of the rarest items in the game.
I'm seriously tempted to give this a try towards end of October when I have more free time, and my flat-mate moves out. As I have never played a FF game before, I fully intend to take my own, sweet time - stopping to smell the roses.
Just hope that I can find players to group during Euro hours who are interested in some old-school gameplay i.e. original quests, content, equipment with zero rushing, power-levelling, twinking, etc.
Tall order but willing to give it a short. Should also run on my venerable AMD 64, Nvidia 6600GT
