"SWTOR pulled me into its world like no other MMO has pulled me before"

SatariousSatarious Member UncommonPosts: 1,073

It's good to see that the story is so well done.  This is what basically sets SWTOR apart from WoW.  The gameplay mechanics is of minor importance since WoW actually polished that quite well from previous MMOs.  So if SWTOR gets accused of "copying" WoW's gameplay mechanics, I consider that a good thing.  Plus, we have yet to see the details of world pvp.  But something tells me that it's going to mirror DAOC's version of Realm vs. Realm which is another good thing in my book:

    I totally agree, it is genuinely enthralling. Some class stories are better than others and I do have my criticisms but BioWare has been very receptive to feedback in these areas.

    Fat stupid american?  I am neither Fat nor Stupid.  And the fact that it could be a fat stupid south american.  Or fat stupid canadian.  Fat stupid european.  Fat and stupid are not exclusive traits.  Take your bigotry and hatred elsewhere.

    @OP,

    Yea.  Having them borrow some things from the worst current most popular MMO (subscription popularity, not this sites thoughts on that) is not necessarily a bad thing.  The question is whether or not there is enough innovation to KEEP people drawn in.

    Thanks for the article though.

    lol not all of us are fat hogs, but I do agree most are, after all we are the fattest Nation in the world.

    On the topic, After playng ME2 I am so hype for the story in this game, if SWTOR nailed the ME2 story telling onto this MMO this game, then this is a dream come try for all MMORPG gamers

    Some of the stories start off slow, but get better as time goes on. Other stories really start with a bang. You can pick which style you like.

    Really upsetting to know its wrong to copy a copier..

    Yeah I agree that copying most of what WoW's has refined from previous MMOs is, like what WoW has done, a smart thing.

    Its true, the game pulls you in.

    is this thread about americans or swtor, rolf...

    Also I dont see any abnormal amount of "pulling" in this game then any other like wow or aion.  Although the RPG elements of this game look amazing with character voice acting and deep so deep role play.

    Um.. I'd say it's more about the WORLD.  This thing is going to be a global hit, after all.  The Europeans seem to be eating it up more than Americans, and Star Wars came out of America. ;)
