One of those is Train Simulator 2012 with Trains vs. Zombies for $19.99

There are also some good games on the list like Bioshocks, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Left 4 Deads. Resident Evil 5, et al. Most of them are at very temptin prices.

Already picked up Cthulhu saves the world. Awesome game!

I'm now trying to decide between Deadspace 1 & 2 or BioShock 1 & 2. Haven't played either series at all. Anyone have any suggestions?

Couldn't really get into Deadspace but I hear the second is better, as for Bioshock highly recommend playing the first game opposed to the second.

Dead Space and the first Bioshock are both really good games.  Haven't played their sequels although they seem to have both gotten mixed reviews.

Got Vampire: Bloodlines. Haven't played it yet but I'll probably have some time soon.

From what I hear it's a very good RPG, so should be worth the 5 bucks.

Borderlands: GOTY Edition (includes all 4 DLC) for $7.50 is a smoking deal. And it runs, looks, and plays way better on the PC (played the Xbox version before)

It is definitely worth the five bucks. The game is similar to older Bioware RPG's, with some obvious differences of course. They did a good job of using the IP as well as telling the story they told.

Real good game. Has some rpg elements and free roaming elements in it. Get it while it is cheap.

Yeah, it's an amazing game. Even with the dated graphics. I've been playing for a bit.

I think I'm going to pick up Amneisa: The Dark Descent.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent is totally worth the money.  I actually turned off the lights, put on my headphones and played the game.  I am a grown man, and there were some parts that genuinely freaked me out a bit.  I haven't beat it yet, but so far it's way worth the 4 bucks.  There is no fighting really, it's first person view however.  Mainly it's solving puzzles, trying to survive.  There's a demo for it too.

All 3 stalker games are great. The second one was a bit disappointing and not as polished but with the latest patches it's also a very good game. You can also mod all of them, make sure to search about the mods if you plan on buying the game, they are definitely not required but you might find something you like in there.

Yeah, I played the demo which sold me on it. Having said that, I'm too much of a wuss to turn out the lights and put my headphones on now that I've seen what the game offers.

I doubt i could convince anyone otherwise, but supporting Steam is a VERY big mistake. The reason is that you NEVER actually own the game, which imo SHOULD be illegal, you are always bound to their shell and steam to be able to use the game.

There have been people that made a charge back on their CC because certain games are not fully functional under the shell program and Steam cancelled their whole account. Also if you ask for support because of that shell program blocking certain functions, they play dumb and ignore the problem by saying ALL support is done via the developer   ..pfft lame support.

From that day onwards i realized to never again buy anything from Steam,a real crooked operation.

We were discussing games for sale during a halloween sale, not some tin foil hat theories.  Go read up on software licensing as well if you think you've ever truly owned a game.  Been using Steam off an on since 2002, not once or any of my friends had any issues.

Lots of fun. Well worth the price they want for it. Most of the bugs have been squashed since it was released. Also look for the player created mod referred to as S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Complete. They did some serious updates to the graphics.

Dead Space 2 & Bioshock 2 are really good games.

While they may not be as good as the first installments in their respective series they shouldn't be skipped over.

As for the sale... I own all of those games already.

    Playing: Nothing

    Looking forward to: Nothing

Yeah for $4 it's a real steal. I just picked it up myself as I've been waiting for a really good sale on it. I also got Ghostbusters for around the same price for my kids to play. I started to play it as well and was pleasantly surprised that it's not a bad game. Much better than most movie IP video games.
