What now?

So, I got my Better Learning to 5, got mining up to 4, working on some planting stuff and teleportation skills.  I ran around for a bit and got 50,000 currants and bought the biggest house possible and now what?  What am I supposed to strive for now that ive seemingly got the best thing in the game?  Maybe I'm not used to this style of game or something but now it would seem I have no goal.

The achievements arent much to work for either so oh well.

I think thats whats wrong with the game. there just isnt enough to do. it feels like there might be, but then just falls flat. there should be a lot more to harvest and craft. owning a house should just be the beginning of openning other crafting options. but instead, its just a place where you can plant a few of the same resources you find running around the game world. resources that arent actually resourceful for anything. its all just about different ways to get energy and money, with nothng to do with it, other than get more energy and money. and a house.

    When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world.

You're in the minds of Giants, and this place is what you make of it.

Glitch just plain and simple isn't a min/max centric game, though it can be played that way to a certain extent (I have text files that breakdown things like a cooking routine that takes me about 90 minutes to complete, making me exp and currants).

Rather, this is what a social game should be. There's things you can do around you, but you're not limited to these things. On Halloween, for example, some users created a "quest" that they ran by themselves, for the enjoyment of anyone who wanted to join. Some people throw house parties, or rent party spaces just to socialize and meet other people. Still others get creative, and we get things like "banking" groups that provide loans to glitches, and groups for different housing quarters where they discuss what things to have planted/maintained on their roads. There's also the Cubimal Racing League group which is about to start our inaugural season. These are things players do by themselves, with zero real interaction needed from the dev's, though the idea's forum is always active, and I've seen things implemented that players suggest!

Though I wasn't able to do it because of other reasons(time), I had collected 12 piggy plops when I went on vacation, and I was going to throw into brown bags with fireflys. Then I was going to hunt out people inside their homes, drop the bag, ask them to meet me outside and run away(basically dropping a flaming brown poo bag on their doorstep). Why? Because I think it'd be fun. They'd laugh, I'd laugh. Time well spent online!

While dev's are adding new things all the time (read the long blog post, awesome stuff in the works!), it's not really something that can be considered "content" to be played through, such as an end-game wow raid. Rather, they're tools for us, the players, to use in whatever way we desire, with the hopes we can do something "fun".

This game is what you make of it. :)

Feel free to IM me sometime! Or come follow the Cubimal Racing League group, as we work on starting Season One!

    XD
