Does Guild Wars really suck??

The point of this topic is really that people say that "THIS GAME SUCKS" and i sir say the Guild Wars is a awsome game, i mean com'on there is places where you can explore more, where there is no limit of stopping of exploration where you find new monsters with new items (unless you go to some sort of site and they give you all the items and monsters). And for people who say that GW sucks well I can tell that you havent been exploring much.

well i played all the beta events since may 2004 and also bought the game and played it for many many days.
Guild wars dosnt suck, but i think what people like me expect from an online rpg is alot of content and a good crafting system, but how can you have this if no monthly payment is required? so i didnt expect it to have this. And when i played full i was right.
the players who have played alot of Online Rpgs like me, (and very well knowin ones. like eq2, world of warcraft, star wars galaxies) probably will get pretty bored of the game afterawhile. The game does and never will have as much content or as good as a crafting system from other online rpgs that charge monthly fee's
Played guild wars and got bored of it because i completed everything. So im playing world of warcraft now because even when you hit lvl 60 you still can keep getting better armor and more rare crafting plans, not only that the new honor system rocks.
maybe thats why people say guild wars sucks, but i dont think it sucks, however i do think that people who want alot of content will say it sucks.

The problem is, Guild Wars is a great game doing something orginal and impossible.
As for mayself, i hate god-like charsters and lvling up treadmills..
Guild War doesnt waste ur time nor money with no montly fee...wanna play with friend randomly, go adhead.
Many poeple also hate it for the sole fact of the lvl 20 cap and Small PvE....but u know what....GW is based on PvP. Now isnt that better?
GW is a game u either like or hate.

ok , im new to mmorpgs , but something is really strange here ...
the people that call them selfes experts in mmorpgs like : wow , eq2 , etc ... they say that guild wars sucks becose they can get all the good armor and complete all the quests really fast ...
but ..
what is the point in playing a mmo ??? why dont they play single players games ?
if all that mather to them is the best armor and the lvl cap ...
im glad i joined this " mmorpg " cumunity in this times of revolution , where an action game like fps is merged with rpg and exploring ... this was my dream all along

Well Neoteo its because some people like to have the interaction with other people and also, they like to show off what they have accomplished plus, you know its true, but it is fun to be known as Godly or really good at some aspect, and in guild wars that just isnt possible. Your guild can be recognized but it is nearly impossible for one person in this game to be known as godly.
And if there is one thing that sucks, its that Socrates guy,
for taking the words right out of my mouth. This is not a game for players like EQ2, SWG, WoW, DAoC, etc. And those are the people who are sayign this game sucks, its not meant for the people, like me, who have to much time on their hands and play games way to much. But what i do find nifty about it is that it is free which meens i still can play it occasionally just to do GvG. Cause ya as a 'hardcore' mmorpg player i have gone everywhere and done everything in the game. (sarcastic when i say everything cause im sure i missed some collector along the way 
). And ya i find the game to be boring, dont meen that i have to slam it, so what you are hearing "Guild Wars Sucks," just isnt true, its just not the right kind of game for that player.
Play this game if you only want to dedicate minimal time.
Dont play this game if you are a loser (like me) and play way to much video games, cause you wont find much out Guild Wars.

Guild wars DOES SUCK (lol) for the kind of people who enjoy crafting, fishing, raiding ect,. like everquest. I myself do not particualry care for guildwars. I have already beaten the game and am just not big on pvp. It was fun the 1st time around but when i tried the second i almost died

Guildwars is a good game though. It has very nice graphics and wonderful storyline.
what i meant to say was that what really maters is the people inside , if you dont like the game so much is becose a) your guild is not so good b) you dont have a guild c) you only play with henchys.

all it maters is life connections all the rest is cenario.
ps : i dont agree that you cant be known as a god in guildwars. the game just started , if you play 2 months you cant be known as a god of sure.

Guild Wars for me has been a mixed bag.
The game is pretty easy, many people have played the game through 3 or 4 times to build up thier characters for PvP. This is good for the casual gamer who doesn't want to fight bunnies for weeks just to level up.
Being that the game is pretty easy and qyick is also part of the problem. Currently there are lots of Bots and people exploiting the game. You can pay people to escort you to the high level areas to get the games best armor because there is no level caps on anything. PvP isn't too exciting in my opinion, but alot of people like it.
For a game that has only been out for so long, it seems like a long wait to the new expansion, but it's a good casual style game as long as you don't take it too seriously.

Yea that's cool, I had fun while playing it too.
But I think the folks who played Diablo might have exploit flashbacks.

Guildwars looks like a fun game. I just happend to be the guy who goes for the games who needs a montly fee, basically because it gives you more.

What I think sounds kinda strage is that the max lvl you can reach is lvl 20? How long does that take.
So the game is all about - getting as many chars as possible to lvl 20 so that you can back your main up economically? (ye, I know typos all over the place
I think ima give it a try and then if I don't like it, well I just leave it there

yes guild wars sucks. The PVE is terrible. The PVP is the only redeaming aspect of this game and it gets old fast
GW- you get what you pay for.
It doesnt "suck" but it could be better. If I bought it just for its hype I would be dissapointed. But I bought it knowing what it was like (beta player) and so I knew what i was buying.
