i played WoW for a while but then quit due to lack of content, since i dont see many update news articals about it from this site i would like to know from players
how is the game doing now? is there still a giant lack of Content?
and did Battlegrounds really fix the game or is it still rather pointless pvp?

I know that gamespot.com has a load of articles on it. Many movies as well. The game is defianltly getting better. Updates are becoming more frequent with more drastic changes. Though the updates do bring many bugs. As for battlegrounds, I have not had the chance to play in them yet but from what I have heard the horde alliance ratio is very unbalanced. Horde 1:3 Alliance on some servers.
I would give it a go if I were you. They are planning on adding content such as player housing and hero classes within the year too.

Can someone please make me a sig. I would like it to have something to do with an eagle(the bird) Somewhere near the eagle can you put the words "Global Defense Initiative". Could you also have the line "If you can't buff up, don't step up!". Thanks!

yes all of that would be nice. but the content is mostly the problem for me...you get lvl 60, do Onyxia and MC then ur done. i herd they added a new instance but that isent anything really...they need to add whole new countrys with SEVERAL hard story line bosses not just 2, and UNIQUE gear not just the SAME armour sets that drop off all the same things.
the game has awsome potential. just wish they would relize that

I agree, the game is not living up to its full potential. I beleive though that it was meant to be this way. The game could easily be like SWG out UO but it is not, because it would take away the casual and easy feel the game worked to acheive. I want the game to live up to its potential but my wants to not go in par with the larger communty.

You better off staying away from it, after 4 months the game has got worse IMHO, teh Battlegrounds only encouraged PvP away from the normal maps areas, but even now the first thrill of a BG has gone and if you don't spend an hour waiting in the queue system to get into a BG then try looking for PvP outside of it, good luck.
The servers are still having problems, random crashes etc are still the norm, and lag is still a big problem of which blizzard just don't seem to care about.
No, the game has gone downhill bigtime in 3 or 4 months, I am no longer playing it after capping out a warrior and doing MC runs etc, its just pointless, PvP is just another lvling treadmill now with honor points.
WoW is utter crap, another big hyped up MMO made by another big hyped up company who only make the game for the money and not the player base.
Someone slap me if i ever buy or play a game made by SoE or Blizzard again....
I popped in a few weeks ago (I played from launch until early February) just to see how things were going. The main differences I saw were
1. Many many more level capped players around. In Ironforge I would say almost half the folks I saw around me were 55+.
2. Many more items in the auction house, including some super expensive ones, but generally a lot more items there (and there were plenty there in February already).
3. Battlegrounds, which were pretty much impossible to get into due to the seemingle endless queuing system (and I was trying in the afternoon, not during prime time).
Otherwise it seems pretty much the same. Almost all of my former guild are gone from WoW. One person whom I knew is now in a megaguild on the server, and he told me (he also started around launch, and has long since capped his main and working on a second character now in the mid 40s as well) that he'd done all the instances, had a huge number of honor from Battlegrounds, and that mainly he stays in the game to socialize and help lower level players in the guild.
So I guess its a case of plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose ... the biggest difference is clearly the battlegrounds, and it's fun in there if you can ever get in, but it clearly gets somewhat repetitive. Probably more content upgrades will come in time for the holiday season would be my guess. In the manual there are whole areas on the map there that are not yet in the game, and I suspect that's where the development will come.
well this is really blizzards only screw up when it comes to games. and SoE hasent really had any, EQ and EQ2 both still have huge player bases, while EQ1 is dieing but then again it has been going for 6 years.
i wouldent rate the game based on the company, a lot of crap ass companys have managed to pull off amazing games, and the backwards happens as well.
I totally agree. At that point I quited the game because I got bored of meaningless pvp.
It is a pitty Blizard is not doing anything to finish the game they started. They did a nice graphic engine, but they are not adding fan contents nor abilities.
