MMORPG.com Community Manager Michael Bitton recently had the opportunity to attend a roundtable discussion between DC Universe Online developers and several members of the media. The discussion focused on the just announced 'Lightning Strikes' DLC pack as well as the recent switchover to Free-to-Play.
First on the agenda, of course, was the upcoming DLC. ‘Lightning Strikes’ is the second DLC pack for DC Universe Online and will focus on iconic DC speedster The Flash. You see, the Pied Piper and Abracadabra are messing with hero and villain origins, and it will be up to players to make sure that Barry Allen becomes, well, The Flash! If you’re wondering why villains would want to help The Flash come to be, SOE explained that Flash villain Professor Zoom would also never come to be if The Flash’s origin is messed with, so it is in his interest (you are working for him as a villain) that Barry becomes everyone’s favorite speedster.

New powerset? I'm happy.
Im actually pretty happy with this game. Its a nice change of pace from a regular MMO. Keep the DLC coming.
Waiting for: GW2
Oooo an electricity powerset with a healing role? I've been waiting for this!

Definitely wanted an electric power set. Very cool.
It's not about fighting, it's about balance. It's not about enlightenment, it's about balance. It's not about balance.
It's gonna be fun to see Flash's Central City - but I keep my fingers crossed for a whole new city in the NEAR future
Very cool! I can't wait for this.
i love the ide of a new powerset specially if is about healing...but lvling another char...i already lvled 7 ...so im pretty tired of the starting zones...so maybe i will not buy this one sill good news for the dcuo community
It saddens me I'm going to have to 'buy' some kind of respec token for a character I've already built with this in mind a long time ago. As my slots are full, looks like I might not be able to play them...
Just purches the dlc from the in game store. The toon you use to buy the dlc from will get the respec token. It worked that way for me with the light dlc.
I am personally very excited for this. I play DCUO on the PS3. And I am quite estatic about the upcoming DLC. I hope it turns out pretty good. Expect me to be a healer once this DLC comes around.
