PvE in general is pretty lame, if you think long and hard about it. You are spending your time beating a severely gimped AI that would lose to a well trained monkey. Best not to think too long and hard why you are wasting time playing games in general actually...
I know _myko it's hard...
so many ignorant retards...
so many posts about how GW sux/isn't an MMO...
so much bad grammar...
not so many periods...
I have started to make some assumptions about all you GW flamers/haters. I predict that you are all immature kids who havn't even reached pubirty. I might only be 15, but I know I'm much more mature than you GW flamers. First of all, you guys can't spell, I mean seriously, if your going to flame a game, you might as well write clearly so that we can all understand what your trying to say. Most of the time your message does get accross, but it hurts my eyes to look at your posts. Also, I have said this once, and I will say it again and again until people stop doing this: DON'T POST YOUR FLAMES IN THE GW SECTION!!! It really pisses me off that whenever I come to this section to read about and discuss GW, I have to read all of your stupidness. I come to this section for GW, not immature posts and idioticy.
I just got GW and i'm hoinstly very suprised by how much fun it is. I played the alpha in early stages and wasn't impressed, but the game has come along way, I wish there was more PVM and more focus on PVM because I find it to have a more epic feeling then most games on the market, and i've played every mmo out there except for WOW.
I hope ArenaNet produces a game for more hard core gamers or adds hard core content to GW.
How did he make a fool of himself?
We all know GW is NOT a MMORPG and that fact was stated by them. Your the fool here!
Come up with something more constructive to say about the game rather to try and flame someone who has hit the nail on the head.
Thats why you must have so many posts huh? Your all about Flaming Central!
And if you need me to link wher the statement was made that GW is NOT a MMORPG, just say so...Otherwise...STFU!

He's not saying GW is an MMORPG you dumbass! He usually flames someone who puts the game down with no reasonable facts and has bad spelling and grammar. So you're the fool here!
Nowhere in his post does he say it's not a MMORPG, he says it barely feels like a RPG. I'm sure most people would agree that GW is at the very least a RPG of the old skool console sense. The instantaneous map travel only occurs when you either have already been somewhere or complete a mission. You can walk to almost all the places on the map, so the point about 'not being able to go out and explore' is not valid.
I'm sure if you looked back at my posts you'll find that on the whole they aim to be constructive and helpful. It's just that the GW forum has had more than it's fair share of people posting what can only be described as flames, often based around misconceptions and falsities. I tried to use a less aggressive form of criticism in this case, next time I suppose i'll copy the majority of the MMORPG community and just say stfu n00b, register an alt account and flame WoW for no good reason...*
I'm struggling to see the constructive aspect of your post BTW...
*well, actually, no I won't. Becuase flaming games for no reason is bad, m'kay.

Okay that was just stupid.
Anyway, yes guild wars isn't an mmorpg but that doesn't make it bad. Who cares if its on this site or not, its just the WoW fans who hate to see Guild Wars having a better rating than WoW.
Also I find it kind of funny that almost everybody who voted on the poll, that is in a thread like this, said that they liked Guild Wars.
Well lets view the posters past comments on other games shall we?
I think we can pretty much assume this guy is a butt munch.

Well I played Guild Wars for a few days on a friend's account. Guild Wars' max level of 20 makes the game more based on strategy and skill than it is "I level 40, I pwn j00, n3wb". It is more of a social game than anything else. If you're going to play don't be a dick. Making friends is important to any MMO, but just the name of this one shows that it will be a game heavily based on teamwork and such. There's my two cents
If it's got blood, I can kill it.
I can understand the critisms which say GuildWars lacks in PVE and needs more content. It's constructive and acceptable. But I can't understand the mentality of people who come up with invalid reasons and posts same cliches over and over again just for the sake of flaming. These cliches are mostly like this:
- GuildWars sucks, the reason people play it is only no monthly fee the game charges (LOL)
- GuildWars sucks, because it's not a MMORPG (LOL)
- GuildWars sucks, cause its level cap is 20 and I can reach the highest level in a week, some people say in a few days (LOL, I think you need some fresh air, go out and breathe in, breathe out)
And so on..
These are very popular ones repeated in every single pointless thread. And the people who use these cliches to flame the game neither never read the FAQ on GuildWars official website, nor they never ever played the game. There's nothing vague about what this game aims and these issues are well explained in FAQ on official website.
And the people who call this game MMORPG or not. I've explained this in another thread. Again you can call it as MMORPG, but it misses Massive so much. It can only be Massive in towns. Here's my whole post about this issue. (I almost forgot. Some people also claim that towns are chat rooms. another laugh for it)
Please people come up with constructive and acceptable critisms, otherwise I want to let you know you're digging yourself in a long hole.
And what I've observed lately is this forum posters are more provoked than WoW forum posters. I plan to get also WoW, but I'm afraid to meet that kind of flamer kids in the game. We'll see
Stay in peace
...
I'll tell you what I else I think I might like about GW, and why I might try it.
All the instancing and skill/strategy choices seems to eliminate the sweat shop element of the the leveling grind.
This to me is good news for gamers - casual and hardcore alike.
It seems to eliminate the camping, the farming, and all the other b.s. involved with other mmorpg's.
For a guy like me who's got a job, a house and a real life, that's good news. Because all I can afford is to play a few hours a week, and even that's pushing it.
So, it might blow if your a hardcore farmer and you can't make $$ on e-bay with it, but that's a boon to people who actually like to play and not dedicate their whole lives or a lot more money to these wonderful, yet very time consuming games.
