Who are still downloading the patch?

i am downloading it right now somewhere at MainAssest file , ( my 6thGb from total of 11GB).
Funny things is : the video file (16gb) was downloaded wayy faster than the MainAssest 1 , probz coz of the traffic eh?
Then i heard various problems from forums reagrding errors during download , any thought for that ?

Theres a lot of variables that come into play whenever anyone downloads a file of this size, so theres bound to be problems, not all of which will be on Bioware's end. I downloaded it all in a few hours while I worked on my programming finals, installed it and had 0 issues.

I downloaded it without any problems. I hope the same holds true for you. It would suck to have to start that process over.

Down loaded the 25 Nov beta patch so I had to do was click on SWTOR desktop icon, log in and auto down the latest patch update.
thanks guys,i guess it wasnt a good idea to check the customer-service forum . Makes me a bit edgy while waiting for the patch to finish the download.
huh...? the patch was like.... 150 megs.... i downloaded it yesterday in like 2 minutes....

You can only patch the 25 Nov weekend beta to get ready for head start.
If you have any beta before 25 Nov beta, you will need to delete the old beta copy from you mechine and install the full head start patch.
Ever since the last beta weekend i have logged onto the launch pad and checking for downloads so i have been up to date so i only had a 12MB download today
Just curious, for those of you who are ready to go, how big is your client? On the official website they say 27GB, but my client is 18.5GB big. I'm puzzled.
I dont know about now but for the thanksgiving beta weekend there where all sorts of troubles from the download to. They seemed to effect verry few people though. Personally I got that downloaded with no issues.
i heard the new patch was fucking huge, but yesterday only got a 150mb patch or so... guess they are all downloading the headstart client and im just patching up the beta one.
so much for there being "high res textures" being added to the game like the fanboys were saying.
A fresh download is 18.5, a patched beta version can run to 27+ (depending on how long it has been installed and how many patches it has had0.
I think they recommended uninstalling because it clears up the excessive left-over files and a fresh install is leaner for it.
I didn't want to take any chances, and the email was a bit difficult to understand, so I uninstalled the beta client altogether and then installed the game client from scratch. Had no issues, and everything installed smooth as butter. Just took a good 5 hours.

hahah , after those massive 16GB and 11GB worth of files... now i get to download another 4.5GB (called english assest1) ..
I just wanna know untill how many more files do i have to download ? I miss my porn =(

Yeah, you are good. Though the client is only 18.5 GB, they set the minimum space requirement to 27GB. Probably for updates and such, and other files that may get written to the drive during game play.
If you had installed the client before 11/25, it is for the best anyway. If you played till the end of beta and got all the newer updates, it still would have worked, but you would have had a lot of extra junk in the install folder. Better to get it all out and use a clean install. It frees up a lot of space and reduces the chance of future problems.
wow really? as in you cant remember the answer or having an error ? u should get it sorted out coz early-access is in 3 moar dayyyyyyyyyyyyyyzzz!!!!!!!
The 27gb is to make sure you have enough room to install it, needs the extra room on the hard drive during installation to cover all the temp files is all.
Might wana check and see maby ya had caps lock on.( during the actual filling out process)

Zero betas = 18.4gb 158 files 12 folders
After seeing this thread I checked my launcher and there was a patch to download, took 30 seconds.
Same mine is 18.4gb
