There is a name filter BTW. Most of the Star Wars characters are in there and some variations. I tested a bit. I couldnt be Vader or Vayder or Vaider. Besides why would you put DarrthVader? Because later you would get the "Darth" title. "Oh look its Darth DarrthVader." I couldnt put in Luke, Boba, Fett, etc either. So you gotta watch the filter. As I said they seem to have loaded it with alot of variations. Also no numbers and I wanted to check something so I put in xXxLegolasxXx and it wouldnt take it.
When I played SWG I tried to use my old gamer tag I always used in FPS games.... Ebola. It wouldnt take it. So I just clicked the random name generator and got Tyranus Darec. I went with that. In TOR I tried to put Tyranus and it wouldnt take it. I tried TyranusDarec, and again it wouldnt take it.
I preferred the random name generator myself. All of them were quite nice. And very different based on race. The zabrak's for example had middle eastern sounding names like Basan, Dajeel, Kusad, and Careel. So it's cool to me.

I liked the RNG, myself; I used it alot during beta. I'm doing all 8 classes, and I'm not sure I'm gonna have names for them all. Keeps me from giving up and rolling "Darth Clevernaim".
