The biggest and best feature of swtor that no other mmorpg ever have.
The ability to customize your companion, gears, crafting and what not.
That my friend blew me away.

Specially the character customization.
Oh wait... /facepalm
well not really companion customization, but i really like this feature because the companion is with you at all times not just for certain dungeons. Also the fact they can gather crating mats fo you while your crafting and such, strike up a conversation for some exp occasionally and such. i think its cool, and hope the future of mmo's take this companion feature to the next level.
And im not talking about using your companion just for assisting in fights, its got to be more then that.
Saying that scripted conversation with NPCs (or even romancing them) is the best thing in MMO (MMO!) is just wrong
That's like going to steak house and ordering spaghetti - you may like them as a true italian but for the love of god you're in a freakin steak house!
I think I actually spent way more time reading and theorycrafting about MMOs than playing them
I like how as a crafter (synthweaver) i can make gear for my shadow companion and my guardian character, as well as pass on my old mods to her.
TOR's biggest feature is it's budget
..Cake..

Saving spot.....
For when i can think of a good feature.
"It would be awesome if you could duel your companion. Then you could solo pvp".--Thanes
I honestly don't see what's good about it. It's just another time-sink type thing. Consider the companion as a part of yourself... all they're doing is giving you more item slots to fill... nothing more. Everyone is making such a big deal about this and not seeing the big picture. Open you're eyes... It's nothing new... it's just MORE of the same stuff.
To have a companion level up your skills for you and gather stuff is just catering to the casuals and making it super easy.
Yup it's like BW said "ok we need to have crafting in TOR so we can call it an mmo" and "but since console gamers hate crafting we will just make companions gather mats and lvl up there crafting for them"
Problem solved now EA/BW can call there console game an mmo and sell it to the console gamers more then once with subs.
Kill three birds with one stone...

Its nice in a way, but the companion thing is silly its just taking away the need to team up with people..
I say again this is mroe like a single player game with some added on MMO stuff.
SW:TOR's best feature is that it's Star Wars.
The customization of Target's target.
Also, raving fanboys say that having this option is too easy, so should be removed and I should go back to WoW
"I am not a robot. I am a unicorn."
On the topic of best features I must say the soundtrack is spot on, I really love good soundtracks in games and this one takes the cake all of the motion picture ones + games + new one really cuts it for me, it really feels epic when you fight a boss.
Have you played the game past lvl 20? The Heroics and random elites cannot be done solo, companion or not.
I agree the music is kick ass....

Even before level 20 I got owned trying to get some explosives, luckily a few ppl from guild came to help me.
yup to about 25, and yaeh i know there are multiplayer missions and elites but you dont need to do them and i really felt no reason to do them..
The greatest feature is the exit button!
/rimshot
Yeah I played to level 50 and this game is such a korean grinder killing mobs non stop, If I wanted a grinder I would play Lineage 2. I didnt bother do any of the quests felt no reason to do them...
If you didnt bother doing quests then ofc it's going to feel like a grind
You only need to do the class quests and the ones you come across on the way and some instances in the mix, it doesn't feel like a grind at all. No where near as grindy as WOW, where at every expansion you have the same 1000 kill 30 of X quests, only to be able to do unbalanced pvp or easy raids at end-game.
besides the crafting part.. you mustve never played GW nightfall.. they had heroes, which u could fully customise with gear, skills, etc
STOOPID
When someone does something so utterly moronic that it kills your brain cells at the very thought of it.
That's just out of date thinking, my friend. Back in the 19th century people went to the steakhouse for just a chop or two...but, heck, this is the 21st century, people can legitimately go out to dine at a steakhouse and it will not raise the waiter's brow if you order a plate of linguini with a sauce.
My favorite feature is all the amazing stats you can raise when you level........lol...sad
I think the companion system is pretty nice, but I'd have to say that this games greatest feature is the dialog decision-based quest system, and how the story caters to your character. I've always had gripes with MMOs because they're not real role-playing games. They're something else entirely. I've played dozens of MMOs and I've never given a damn about storyline. It doesn't matter. Just hurry up and click through the boring text and tell me what I have to kill/fetch. There's never been a story worth engaging in and in most cases, character development equals what your toon is wearing.
But TOR *is* a role playing game. Your character develops according to the decisions he/she makes. There's actually a story, and ironically, it's one I really care about. It's interesting as hell.
Some people doubt TOR's longevity. Personally, I don't. I think this game is going to have mad replayability because every class will have a completely unique story.
