Tell me about it, it sucks balls, enjoy the next 5 hours staring at a refreshing 'site is full' screen. A decent warning that today was the sub activation day would have been nice so I could have made it home before 1pm GMT to get in fast.

    Either way:

Thumbs up on the game, loving as if the last 6 years of wow was a distant dream.

Both thumbs down on the limited server numbers, rammed servers, 1-2 hour login wait times and general underestimation of the populations. Can they really not predict the numbers of people playing the game and adjust server numbers accordingly? Really? Pre-order numbers/copies + a calculator and my grandmother could have predicted that one.

I registered my code last night, but I'm getting subscription not active on the launcher - anyone else getting this?

I find it quite funny how they could not even prepare their site to a huge load of people after seeing the huge load of people in their servers for the past week lol

    Talking about incompetence....

They warned everyone about this at least a week ago or more. Everyone forgot to set up a subscription when they put in their game codes and now when the 2 day grace period ended everyone is without a subscription and all trying to log on at the same time to set one up.

It sucks but I don't really feel sorry for anyone that forgot to do it. They sent an e-mail about this and mentioned it on the forums that it needed to be done before the grace period ended.

They didn't mention that they would not be providing enough bandwidth to do so however..

So this argument in it's entiretly fails. Its' not about them granting the time. It's about them failing on their technical end.. You can't subscribe at all because their site is deadlocked.. Thats a problem that cannot and will not be put onto the consumers.

That's just ignorant to blame the users for the site being so shit.. Dead ass man, be real with yaself don't just let companies off the hook. They should've and probably knew better..

PM before you report at least or you could just block.

It clearly said on the account page that I had 29 days left on my subscription, and that I would need to setup a recurring subscription before that time was up.

Are you saying you can log into the game because you entered your payment details in?

Edit; just read it again and you're right, it does say at the end "before you can play"... I'll get me coat.

If they don't put up a dialog that requires it to be dismissed before you can enter the game then you haven't been "warned". I certainly don't read that drival they put on the launch app unless something goes wrong. Of course if we were really warned it probably won't have mattered as most people would have given up on subscribing when the account system got overloaded and failed. That would have at least given them advanced warning before this mess they have created now.

Also, I've gotten to the "choose subscription plan" page several times and hit Continue with my choice. Every time after an eternity of nothng happening I get directed to some community page that has nothing to do with billing information or whatever the next step should be. Not only is the system jammed up it just isn't working at all.

Some of those who posted earlier in this thread haven't noticed that they have not "subscribed". They just "registered". To "subscribe" you need to go to "My Account" and sign up for a reoccuring subscription. Note that you aren't actually charged until your first 30 days is up so you could techniqually unsubscribe to just play with the 30 days you got with the game purchace.
