New Game from europe Spellborn

I found a new mmo from the netherlands (or belgium, not sure exactly)

Its call Spellborn and the devs seem to have some cool ideas, from their site:

We have developed our world based on three simple design principles:

* Players want to interact with each other or fight against each other individually and / or in groups.
* Players want to experience a fun game and look cool right from the start.
* Players want to influence the world and make a difference.

Players will be able to interact with each other in an original fantasy setting, experienced through a unique graphics style. Players can fight with or against each other, forge alliances and control parts of the world.

The players’ strength is not determined by the sword that he or she wields, but by the skill with which it is wielded. This is one of the things that allows players to create varying but recognizable identities for their characters. In addition, players are free to use a wide variety of faces, clothes, armours and symbols to customize their characters in the game.

Players will change the world with their actions, from unlocking entire new parts of the world, to putting a personal lasting mark on a small part of the world.

High adventure is offered even at the lower levels: Hidden doors can be found, conquering clans can be joined; you will make a difference even at lower levels.

There are no screenshots on the official site but a german (or netherlands) site has one...

does anyone else really like this style of comic-graphics? i am all hyped up, hope they'll be able to deliver what they promise!

This game looks cool! However, it will only be released in the 2006.... God, I hate the waiting part..image

The Best thing about the future is that it comes only one day at a time.

"Unlike most games, however, a massively multiplayer online game (MMOG) adds a zillion extra things that need to fall into place and simply work."

This game called Spellborn....made by europe....I will support this! imageimage

Another Everquest wannabe. Fantasy MMORPG are getting old.

Hmm. Yeah, fantasy settings are getting a little old..or stale. But I must say the concept art and screenshots at least boast an impressive style. I like the look alot. I didn't look closely at the background story at all yet. Still looks promising...

And just cause its a fantasy MMORPG, doesn't make it an EQ clone. EQ itself was a clone of many other things. Thats why its called "evolution".

This is the best game in development I have ever seen.If the developers will create this game, I will be it's
    big fan.
In all it looks like a mix of WoW and EQ 2 ,but have its own style.

Agreed!  They keep making fantasy MMOs because we keep buying them. image  There is still huge demand for this genre, just look at the success of Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter media.

I'm sorry to hear you haven't studied the website of the game.

    Maybe you should.

Ditto...this game is anything but an EQ wannabe.  Posts like this are getting old!

Plus, look at the surveys (on this site there's one I think)...fantasy themes are favored by almost everybody who plays MMOs!

Hmmm...what's that smell...big...green...frequents the areas below bridges...

Edit: Oh, didn't realize this was a resurrected really old dead thread...sorry for replying...hehe.
