edit: in case people were wondering.. the release question was asked:
Generikb asks: i know you don't have a set release date, but any general idea? Like a "QX 201X"?
Wollay replies: I'm targeting Q1 2012.

Voxels?
Ooo! Shiny. Is there an FAQ somewhere?
Edit: Found some questions answered. NVM.
Thx gonna wait for minerwars tho
this looks interesting... a 3d version of terraria maybe??
Yeah! Except it looks like these monsters will destroy bricks. I wonder how they will keep monsters from digging a hole 100 bricks deep in the ground.
I saw this on some tv show as a "notable mention" some kids gaming show thing. Looks good, i'd give this game a go.
This isn't a signature, you just think it is.
Common uses of voxels include volumetric imaging in medicine and representation of terrain in games and simulations. Voxel terrain is used instead of a heightmap because of its ability to represent overhangs, caves, arches, and other 3D terrain features.
hope that helps
I know what voxels are. I was just saying, it looks like the game uses them, rather than rasterization. Are there any APIs that work well with voxels, or do they basically have to do everything from scratch to make the game engine?
Well, i hope this answers your question because i am not sure if it does. But only one person (wollay) is creating this game for the sake of a hobby . anyways i found this response:
Q: How do you create this game?
A: I've programmed everything with C++ and DirectX (OpenGL for the first version). For the voxel sprites, I created my own voxel editor.
I would probably play it... if I was eight years old.
Philosophy of MMO Game Design
It looks like once they get deep enough, they have more trouble attacking.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
Bah, I was interested until I read that it won't be an MMO, at which point I lost interest.
Have been following this for a while. Looks great.
For those of you saying it's a kid's game: really? Is it because of the graphics?
<childish, provocative and highly speculative banner about your favorite game goes here>
Had the bearest of peeks at this... looks interesting, "Terraria 3d" like.
Also Castle Story is another interesting one too. : )

Is the guy behind that the same with the guy that Notch hired?

It's not an MMO, so I'm curious why you point that out as a concern.
There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein
