swtor flying mounts?

Do u think swtor should add flying mounts in upcoming patches/expansions? i personally think they should, it was a huge success in WoW so why not in swotr.

I voted that IDC because I don't see how they would work. WoW's world (most of Azeroth, anyway)  is not instanced. But how could you fly around Nar Shadaa or Coruscant, really? And where is there to fly really in Tatooine? There is nothing really there and there aren't many players in those worlds any more.

If there were a world where players gathered, a big, open, uninstanced world, then it might be interesting.

I just don't see it happening in SWTOR the way the game is now. The devs have way more pressing priorities, I think.

I like the flying creature taxi mounts like on Alderraan but I'm not sure it would work for player mounts, the areas are not really designed for it.

I DO want regular creature mounts though.

no. flying mounts doesnt seem to fit in the swtor universe. just because it worked in wow, doesnt mean it will work in other games..

Yeah I wouldn't mind riding around on an Ewok or something.

As far as flying mounts, I see no need for them beyond what our spaceship is.  Also - I don't remember too many flying vehicals in star wars beyond spaceships.  I guess maybe your spaceship could be considered in some way a flying mount?

I guess maybe a "hover mount that can gain more altitude than a normal mount" but nothing that would allow you to fly into the sky for an unlimited amount of time?

due to the nature of the game's graphic engine that is not possible.

They've stated the reason they did zone narrowing and had choak points was because they didn't want too many people on the screen at any given time...

Flying mounts would negate that effort and cause a lot of problems.

Just watch some of the datacron video's on youtube and you will see that flying mounts would make getting these way way too easy (especially taris)  besides flying mounts are a anti-open world pvp mechanic anyone who tells you different either doesn't know any better or doesn't care.  So ya i voted against it , besides there are a ton of walls in the game that extend very high many cliff faces etc. the amount of reworking that would need to take place to make this silly thing in the game ya sorry i am against it.

They cut a lot of corners to get this game out when they did , give us things we need not fluff and flying mounts is something you do when you have a solid workable game with plenty of end game content etc. they are far from that now.....assuming one thinks its ever a good idea to put them in.

As a former WOW player of over 5 years, flying mounts was actually my least favorite thing about the game.  I only used flying mounts for area's I had to use it or if I needed to rush to an area for a guild meet,  majority of my time was using a land mount.

SWTOR to have full space flight that would be fine, that's the only place I can really see it work.

I voted no, simply because it would be too difficult, if impossible for them to implement into the game, i'd rather see them spend their time improving the game, particularly grouping mechanics, having to wait half hour or more to try and get a group formed is plain ridiculous in this day and age. they need to integrate these kinds of things into regular gameplay, i know a lot of the things can be done solo with a companion, but thats beside the point. Grouping is more fun.. and MMO's should involve.. people.. not npc's.image
