Tera has put a smile back on my face..
Moving from one zone to another and not having to watch a LOADING screen.. Man I have missed that.. dident even realise how much I actually missed that before I saw it happen.. Been so fuck.ing Tired of watching loadscreens.
Equiping crystals that do extra damge when a target is down on my weapon.. and sloting HP regen once on my armour.. changed alot.. And you can use other combos for focusing on hiting Mobs/players in the back etc.. This changes what your strategi is going to bee

A pesky lvl 12 player manged to fight my level 18 Berserker to a draw because he used my slow speed to get out of the way. Hadent uppgraded all my stuff, but still he did a good jobb and manged to damge me the half health. I almost killed him a few times but he manged to stay clear of my deathblows. Really fun fight...
Pawning a lvl 21 Warrior who wasent smart enough to get out of my Axe way... And who dident get that if I pary he dose less damage.. Wasting his most powerfull attacks when I was cleary not taking full damage..
Mobs are really fun to kill in this game.. and cought myself trying on larger and larger groups and trying to kill higher level monsters just to see if I could pull it off. Being low on health and having to relay on Regen Blows... and ducking out of and parrying their nasty attacks. They just dont stand around swining they do diffrent moves and you have to watch out when they attack you with a dangrous one. And this is just ordinary monster out in the world...

Using ridicuously oversized weapons. Not being able to move on instant cast abilities. Feeling like a pedo when you see the ridiculous little-girl races running around. Furry panda-looking races. Insanely boring and unimaginative quest. World bosses that one player can solo.

lol, see what they say a month after release will be priceless when the game is tera-bad and they really feel it out.
if the Pve Is terra bad its okey by mee I spend most of my time just hacking Mobbs.. goes faster to level that way.. Quest are really just in the way of my playstyle.
You do Know why we play Tera? its because of the promise of NO FRACTION... PvP.. and it has this far proven they will stick to it.
And Most theampark players Post 2004 that have grown up in these world were they were protected by the developers wont like Tera. Those that have some balls and want to fight other players and challenge themselfs will like it though..
Its just that there is something special about being better and Knowing that you can take it. I mean people Hate on EvE also.. you know why.. They just cant hack it...
Ps.. if you look at Teras forums there is a post about a little lost kidd who thought he was a PvPer becaue he used to pvp In WoW. But when he was going to get his mount a hole guild of people Face stompt him.. He cried like the little tab target Bitch that he is... Facts are though that soon after those same pvpers got chased across the world and wiped by better Pvpers... But the litte kiddy had allready left the server in Tears crying for E-sport games and fair gameplay....
FACT: If you have never played a real pvp game (EvE, Lineage2 for example) You are just kidding yourself if you say you like PvP.. The theampark Light PvP.. fraction game you have played have nothing to do with what REAL Men consider PvP...

TERA is not a real PvP game unless it has full loot.
Why is it that most of the people that are vehemently defending TERA communicate like 12 year olds? Overly aggressive, and love to insult other styles of play. Usually bad grammar and poor spelling. Lots of run on sentences (this post seems free of those at least). I understand that for some the language may be a secondary language, but I don't think its that case for most...
For me it’s not the PVP but how I am able to focus on combat, and be stimulated by it, (I have mild ADHD). I just healed Bastion for the first time as a priest; it was incredible, nothing like healing in a tab target mmo, far more engaging and challenging. No matter what other mmos may have, or the flaws in TERA, the fundamental game play will keep me coming back, like all the old pre-wow mmos did.
Um... In the worlds Player v. Player I dont see the words "full loot." Can you explain to me how to be a "real PvP game" it has to have full loot? I say this because GW1 had amazing PvP and was not full loot.
I'm not saying if its full loot it will be bad, but a game does not need to have it to have "real PvP" (whatever that means).
Tera has been out for more than a year, I think if people still don't know what they're getting into, they have worse problems than having nothing to do at level cap.
You do realize that half your list are the things that the Asian demographic seems to like in their games, dont you?
GW1 is not a PvP game. It has PvP. There is a difference. It's good PvP though.
Real PvP games have consequences. You want to be a tough guy and ruin someone's game time? Be prepared to lose your stuff if you get owned. Themepark PvP, like in TERA and WoW, has not consequences.
I just find these so-called "PvPers" who gank newbs with a full guild and act like tough guys funny, because I know for a fact that most of them couldn't survive in a real PvP game.
Don't take my post as me knocking on GW1 or WoW or TERA PvP. Personally, I enjoy competitive PvP, where everyone is on even footing. I just find these fools, who brag about ganking a few newbs in a no-consequence game, hilarious.
I misread your post. I missed the "game" part. What you say is true though. If it is PvP focused then PvP needs consequence. You are right.
It's a different culture. From what I understand, the more mindless the game, the more popular it is in that part of the world.

If it's a non FRACTION PvP game, it will indeed be....interesting, to say the least.
Haters are in full swing on this thread, oh well. I'll enjoy the game, and many others and it'll be your loss if you don't take the time to give it a chance.
Teak, have to say that it seems like the anti-TERA crowd seem to be the trollish ones here in general, as evidenced by your post here that attempts to repeatedly insult a broad group for maximum drama.
You seem as bad as the folks you criticise, and you even use grammar as a means to personally demean them,which is pretty low.
Lets maybe stop talking about other posters and get back to talking about games.
I'm looking forward to TERA because it isn't mindless. For someone who wants "real pvp" you seem to focus more on the quest mechanics and art style of TERA than the combat or PvP systems. Why is that?

Is there full loot in Eve? I know dying in Eve has harsh consequence (your trillion dollar ship blows up) but full loot?
I rather like gentler loot systems, AC1 was good with an insurance system (albeit expensive). Compromises like not looting equiped items of looting one equiped item make sense to me. Having said that if it gear has no value well who cares if you loose it all? Didn't DF end up like that....full loot but still carebear?
EVE has a PVP system which should most likely be called Full loot as everything that is on the ship is either dropped or destroyed upon death, also I have to say that at least how its working now on the EU Beta the pvp is quite interesting with people able to declare themselves outlaws making for a lot of PVP.
Eve is the most boring mmo ever made and the pvp is a snore fest. Not even in the Top 10 of best pvp mmos ever made.
dont forget.. running around like you have a back problem, the flashy colors and ayyys.. dam.. back to L2 all over.
Now serious.. and i have said this before.. why theese companies keep releasing over and over again the same kind of games, with almost the same mobs, classes, chars attacks etc etc beats me.
I like group content don't get me wrong. I just don't start a new MMO for the sole purpose of grinding to max level so I can run the same stuff over and over. There are enough MMOs for that, I'm currently deciding which one to pass the time until May.
I recognized right away that the questing in TERA is industry standard. Does that make it bad? There is a story if people take the time to read it. What makes me look forward to TERA is how I'm completing the quests, not the delivery of them.

Because he cant Rant on the PvP system. And also about spelling Errors. I personaly think more people Outside the US is going to play this game.
That's who the game is aimed at.
Anime? Check.
Big weapons? Check.
Half naked female characters? Check.
Boring quests you don't have to read? Check
I agree with the following.. The last one is really True Im really happy I dont have to read the quest and can just go out and hack shit. If I want a good story I will read a book or watch a good movie...
MMOS are about other people and Im much more Interested in what others are doing then having to read a bunch of pointless crap that will have zero effect on the game world...
Dont be sad.. Evryone is not cut out to play EvE online.. The game is just to complicated for some people to grasp...
