There shouldn´t be a problem, you have 48 hours and I think they made it so you can´t tamper with it.

As much as I'm hyped about GW2 I'm not planning to get to beta. I really prefrer to have fresh normal start without knowing everything and hopefully with all those bugfixes/tweaks from beta.

Well, your hardware might matter, they probably want a large spectrum of computers to warn them of any compability issue but the time you signed up wont matter.
Of course that didn´t stop me from having signed up 3 minutes after it was posted, and one of those minutes was refreshing the beta page and another running the diag program.

2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.

I only jump into betas when I am on the fence. For me, I kinda like to get in without knowing everything about the game. I've found as I get older that being first is very much over-rated.
