We all want this game, but NOT as a browser game but a FULL ON MMO or space flight sim game where we can fly with our Squadron, live out the dream of being a Viper Pilot and so on!!!
It is sad to see this is the game that came out! SyFy has truly EFFED their fans so much this past year, so I am not shocked. Saying all that, the controls are HORRIBLE!!!

Disagree, This is the very best FTP browser game I have ever played,. Infact, I have never played a browser game, this blew me away. I expected tetris, this is eve light.... and growing heavier by the minute. Over 2 million accounts??? Even if a small fraction stay with it, thats 100,000 people.
This game is a blast, good graphics, good controls (takes skill, but great once you get used to them), and its free, although I have dropped some RL cash for faster progression
but Im glad i did 
Anyway, try it, give it a bit of time, its free to play, nothing to lose.
I didn't like the controls, it doesn't feel like in space at all. Only way i can compare it is Starfox 64 with the gun automaticaly shooting once a foe is on your crosshair without the restriction from moving around the map. So you're limited on dodging bullets from an opponent chasing you. For an FTP game it's actually good i guess, but for BSG it's really bad. The chances to see a good BSG game is low now as a game of a low quality like this one attracted 2 millions players. They're gonna dry out the ip hype until everyone had enough.
Visuals very nice, but the controls make you feel like you're playing an early 90s game like Descent or something. Controls seem almost deliberately unresponsive at times.

Not personally a big fan of raiding or current pve endgame mmo philosophy. Nothing wrong with it, I just sort of burnt out on it.
Hardcore raider in wow from Launch to.. about 7 months ago.

Yes the controls are horrible. I'm not sure if I even completed the tutorial I was so lost. the thing is, they don't show you how to control anything. (maybe you can't?) they just said to left click on whatever, but the things weren't anywhere to be seen. somehow after random clicking, something blew up and they said to target the next thing. Now I'm ultra confused because still there's nothing to click or target or tab to. It looked neat (despite being java) but was totally unplayable for me. I lasted less than 5 minutes.
I played this last night and had a good time.
thought all in all its a good game and quite suprised at the improvement from beta where it was a lag fest.
Im playing from Australia and did not notice any lag at all.
This is the first browser mmo (or any game) that I have played and quite suprised at the quality of it.
This game hald a lot of promise Graphics, palyability and cost all attractive but 2012 has spelled doom for the game with Hardware and software problems everyweek and Weekends almost unplayable. If your smart don't waste your money and if your time has value the first time you can't log in Run . They are likely to suggest you reformate your computer and reconfigure it to a custom state that still may not get you into the server.
