Many of you here are saying that WoW is an easy game for kids. So I would really like to know what are those hard mmos made for adults ? (And don't talk about grind and time consuming mmos as hard)

AoC's adult themes, dialog and world were certainly refreshing - I'd like to see more of that. It wasn't particularly hard tho.

I think they forbid hard computer games the year 2000 or so, over 10 years ago since i saw one now.
There are some "adult" MMOs like AoC around but you wont find any hard.
In all seriously though, to the OP not everyone generalises about kids v adults or their impact on the game difficulty so I wouldn't worry about it over much

What Loke said. And it's little to do with kids/adults. It's just the way it's gone why I don't know. Dumbed down so to speak and I'm not bashing WoW. I played it, I enjoyed it, I moved on because I didn't like to raid and I sucked at arena. There's only so many times you can run around the tree in Stormwind trying to think of something fun to do that doesn't require either of those things. I had over 6000 points of achievements and my enjoyment of the game came to an end. That's it. For me it's not about easy or hard really I would prefer a game with sandbox elements and there aren't many of those around anymore.

Questing ten levels over (a fast way to level) in Mega Ten is seriously difficult. Pull one, get six, healer demon dies. Fight like hell. Splat! Laying on the ground in the middle of a pack of hostile mobs calling in chat for a rez because the death penalty would wipe out at least an hours worth of XP.
Now, now, lets not be overly dramatic, hmm? There's always Ninja Gaiden Black, Demons' Souls, Dark Souls and many others that really are hard. Many games are hard if you play them with hard difficulty, only majority of players choose not to. Its their choice.

age is the most idiotic way of categorising inteligence, skill or maturity. I've recently read in a local newspaper of an eleven year old forcing a chess grandmaster to a draw.
... and he was probably one in ten million. While relying solely on age as a marker for maturity and intelligence is close-minded, there is a good reason why the average eleven year old isn't allowed to drive.

I mean, the demand for games that absolutely require socialization is high here, so are they demanding it because they like being social (can be done in any MMO) or because they are really bad at it in real life?

Ummm most mmos arent hard... Just time consuming. I guess 4 manning 5 man end game dungeons is hard.

Whenever there is an article about wow on mmorpg.com u can see a lot of "wow is a kiddie ez mode game"...so I am asking those gamers to name me that adult, hard games they play so I can try them.
