On the plus side you will count on the year end figures and may get to keep an EA exec in silk shirts for another quarter.

I'm not really sure that I came across as TOR's #1 fan, jtcgs, because I'm not. In fact, like most of the people on the forums here, 1.2 will likely decide how much--if any--more time I spend with Star Wars: The Old Republic. I was responding to a statement by bigsmiff who was responding to the "Worst MMO on the market." comment. . . which I (also) didn't believe was defensible in any way, but you are certainly welcome to try. So in other words, jtcgs, I wasn't even talking to you. . . and for your percieved injury. . . wait for it. . . I give FUCKALL.

Call me crazy--or according to you, "senstive". . .megalulz---but I have a real problem with allowing inane & puerile remarks like "Worst MMO on the market." to pass without being called out for what they really are. And I feel I have already done a sufficient job of explaining what (and WHY) I think that is.

Frankly, you may feel that you know me. . . but you really fucking don't. If perchance you did, however, you would know that I have had plenty of reservations/concerns about where TOR was in beta, where it is now,  and where it's going. I don't like TOR 100%, in fact, I think it may be safe to say I don't like anything 100%. . . except maybe a couple of dimples in girl's back just above her ass or the way sometimes babies gurgle when they laugh. . .  but that's about it.

Furthermore--in response to the accusation that I am guilty of possessing overly delicate sensibilities--my fiancée and 99% of her friends are ride or die Democrats but I'm just your average bigoted, socially conservative Republican. It would be difficult to explain what that has meant in terms of political dialogue in the last four years over 1,500+ dinners & lunchs with her friends & family. . .  and while the jury may be out over whether I am a masochist or I am simply in love with the girl. . . I can say without a doubt in any fiber of my being: I tolerate dissenting opinions.

Fuck you very much, good night. image

This site is filled with some of the bigger whiners I have ever seen.  People despise everything about SWTOR with no basis considering it is an extremely solid and polished MMO that was released 3 months ago.  Yes pvp and pve can be improved but for a new game it has plenty of options that are not only fun but balanced compared to many games that have been out for years and still have bigger issues.  Bugs? What bugs, people always complain about them but I have not come across a single game breaking bug yet.  Hell not even minor ones.

Gamers today are so jaded that they hate on anything popular without looking at it objectively.  SWTOR is not perfect but for an mmo it is one of the best in the market with a story that no other mmos can compete with.  Most singe player games can't even compete with it.  If you don't like doing the same quests over again with your alts then STOP and realize you got multiple options to level and you obviously are playing the game a lot if you are making that many alts on both sides.

And that is what the Legacy system is really about, not about roleplaying like the kid who is crying because a different race can ruin roleplaying.  Grow up.  Its about encouraging people to play alts and rewarding you for making more characters.  Thats it.  I guarantee if GW2 (a game that i plan to get as well) came out with the legacy system all the blind trolls would be cheering it as the most novel idea in mmos.  Heck GW2 does nothing original but fanboys rush to its defense.

This site is filled with some of the biggest fans who cannot handle people criticizing games they love.

A completely failed open pvp area, tiny worlds that you will never revisit, instanced dungeons from a hub, dwindling population leaving many servers a ghost town, a joke of a crafting system that most peopel maxed within a week... Don't worry... you have voice overs that tell you to kill 10 X and class quests which are paper thin excuses to kill this or go there.

People will accept anything nowadays with pretty graphics or sound and call it AAA.  Sad, but true.

I stuck around to see what the Legacy System was going to be like.  I made it to lvl 50 too easily and I don't like gear grind/raid WoW system.  I was hoping the Legacy would be more like the EQ1&2 Alternate Advancement system, but from reading the developer blog I can see that it is BioWare's very certain goal NOT to allow the Legacy system to result in any substantive character improvement.  The blog speaks (in the heroic moment ability section) as if this would be woefully unfair.  This is wrong, instead they continue to exclusively favor the WoW raiders with their uber phat leet purplz over those of us who would enjoy spending time carefully crafting and roleplaying our characters.

And to those who still love the game and will follow this with STFU and GTFO in so many words. . .I envy you.  I wish I loved this game, and that it wasn't the biggest dissapointment of my virtual life.  KotOR I&II are my all time favorite games, I've been giddy with anticipation for years, only to receive this WoW clone with Mass Effect conversation wheel tacked on.

Given that they've been hyping The Legacy system for so long now, I can't help but feel like what they've given us is nothing more than an after thought. Seriously, the abilities that players can unlock can only be used during heroic moments? What garbage.

Ah so GW2 is also offering toilets in the P2W scheme eh?

You folks got bigger worries than what is going on with TOR.

I hope we get varied unlocks based upon lvls obtained on multiple characters, and other various criteria such as EQ does with account seniority date.

Asking Devs to make AAA sandbox titles is like trying to get fine dining on a McDonalds dollar menu budget.

    Mehh. Too litlle too late.

This should have been in the start before people have alts that are level 50 too. Can't be bothered to level another toon still, just so I can get some new races.

Legacy is exactly what this should be called look at how 1980 it is.... Oh look at all the usless fluff you get with it too... not to mention the lore and immersion breaking.

"The King and the Pawn return to the same box at the end of the game"

Ever notice how every game forum is the same? Same subjects...

"This game was made broken"  " too little too late"  "pvp sucks!"  "pve sucks!"

The forums are a game in their own. One that has no depth, No fun and no end....ugh

wait.... what was my point again?

I tought making alts was the biggest strength of SWTOR with special storylines for each class.

It is , for example leveling an Sith is compleatly different from leveling an Bounty hunter or Jedi, if you are into the story part of mmo's (and swtor does it great) than you will like leveling alts

    Yes! Alts!!! We love alts!

Im so glad Bioware gets that some of us are alt-o-holics!  Thats half the fun is to make more chars, more rp, more stories... more fun! :)

~.~ I was kinda hoping everyone on the TOR development team would live in disgrace for the rest of there careers, not a bad game but not a good mmo  getting a company that does storybook games with optional paths to make an mmo was silly.  Stop complaning and saying TOR sucks you should seen it coming. The only reason theres so much TOR hate on this forum  is because  the people who  run this place got paid to give TOR a good review which it never deserved. We now  have alot of butt hurt people floating around angry that they wasted cash on TOR, i feel bad for anyone who got the collector edit.
