I just logged into my long abandoned WoW account on a 7 day scroll trial and after about 10 minutes of watching people sitting around stormwind playing with their mounts logged out and uninstalled.
I need something fresh. I would like a hardcore full loot pvp oriented game but they don't exist (where if you die you go back to level 1). The next best thing, full loot pvp, exists only in three games to my knowledge, EVE, Darkfall and Mortal Online. EVE is probably good, but would take about a year to figure out how to play well. Darkfall and Mortal only have about 100 people playing.
Anything I am missing?

Quit WoW over a year and a half ago, just couldn't keep the grind up. Tried Eve for awhile, got one character to building Tengu's, another to flying them, but... just got bored. So now it's a little TF2 or STO while I wait, both being easy-to-walk-away-from games.
Oderint, dum metuant.
Just started playing League of Legends, because my copy of The Witcher 2 stopped working for some reason.
heh I am pretty much the same with WoW although I ignored my scroll of rez and 7 day free trial. Ghostcrawler just screwed up that game too much and Blizzard's lack of decent customer service leave mme with a pit in my stomach. Not that I have found anything else to do.. I have bounced around from game to game.. nothing keeping my interest.
The only game I have been able to actually finish in this time was Dungeon Siege III and I got 33 points on my GW1 HoM.. so got all mah goodies for GW2 =D. Games I have tried to play Star Trek Online, Tera(played 1 beta weekend, let my key rot the next), beta for a terribly NON FUN(figure it out) MMO beta, D3 beta(this at least I will by and play through once), Brawl Busters, a few F2P MMOs that I don't recall right now as none were all that interesting.. currently trying to get through Fallout 1 as GOG.com had it free for a day and it comes with the updates to make it work on WIN 7 and Dungeon Siege II...
So really a hodgepodge of stuff.. I watch as much Youtube from Totalbisquit, Woodenpotatoes and Yoggscast as I can about GW2 and other stuff. On that I actually found a really cool little indi dungeon crawler called Legend of Grimrock(comes out on the 11th but you can prepurchase it for cheaper now and apply it to Steam).
I have the exact same issue so Im playing nothing at the moment.
I'd consider trying FFXIV again but they just recently started asking for subs, so yeah no...
Really not much worthwhile out there at the moment IMO -- I stopped playing SWTOR, a game I waited for a LONG time only to be horribly crushed by disappointment. LoL maybe is a good start? Diablo III comes out in a month, that might tie you over....
I am not waiting on GW2, but I am once again enjoying Rift. I am glad that I decided to give it another go.
While I wait to play GW2, I've gone back to WOW for a couple days to coordinate with members of my guild our transition over to GW2. I got to play the beta for a couple hours and loved it! Right away I was in the middle of a dynamic event and then downed a boss all in lvl 1 while playing with strangers without needeing parties. After playing WOW, Warhammer, Aion, Age of Conan, Rift, and inumerable korean f2p mmos, I have to say that GW2 so far appears to be a much needed improvement to a stagnant gaming genre. If anything, lets hope GW2 ups the ante and forces other companies to improve their games
GW2 will probably be a good while before it's here so i'll likely play quite a few games in the mean time. Right now i'm reinstalling Borderlands as i haven't played it for quite some time.
Your missing the best full loot pvp game, after ultima: Shadowbane. There are fanmade servers and still more on them then in official back in the days.
Its very complex but one of the best pvp mmorpgs every made. You could steal loot with chief while you were hidden.
Seven Souls. Its asian, but pretty fun and lots of customization and its free. Will play TSW as soon as i'm in beta
Currently installed on my HD -
DCUO - STO - Guildwars - DDO - EQ2 (just playing with my house)
Sins of a solar empire - Galactic civilizations 2 - Sid Meyer's Civilization V
Minecraft - Terraria - and the original X-com
Not to mention still playing multiple characters through Skyrim on PS3 + other PS3 games.
( Note to self-Don't say anything bad about Drizzt.)
An acerbic sense of humor is NOT allowed here.
Currently playing... Battlefield 3, Fifa 12 & Kingdoms of Amalur for the PC.
Just finished playing Alan Wake aswell. Got less than a month until TERA, so I'll probably be looking into that too.
ME3, Tera. When Tera comes out, I'll be doing more Tera than ME3. When GW2 comes out, I'll decide if Im going to do a Tera/GW2 combo, or just one. Depends how damn good GW2 is and how much it can rope/keep me roped.
I am playing Diablo 3 waiting for Diablo 3. GW2 will come when it comes and surprise the crap out of me, and I won't waste a single minute anticipating its release... Diablo 3 is another story.
Made a huge mistake and payed 1 month for WoW. Just to see if my guild is still alive. Found out that it actually was not. And the server I was playin on became mid populated, from almost full. Runned around Stormwind for, like, 10 minutes. Started an alt. Got bored on level 5. Deleted WoW. I'd better buy beer on that money, that would be more usefull.
Yeah, kinda trying to find something new for myself too, to entertain me. Currently playing some good-ol' Age of Empires 2 with my friend and that's pretty much it. Watching LoL streams, sometimes movies/tv series. Not much to entertain me.
That has me thinking...I wonder if something like Red Alert still exists...I could probably get into a RTS multiplayer game, building and defending forts. Nothing as complex and time consuming as Civ5, but something along the lines of what Red Alert was. Maybe a fantasy version of Red Alert, with dragons and wizards along side catapults and such....does a multiplayer version of such a beast exist?
After SWTOR failed to get my attention, I decided to just take an MMO break, which sucks because I've been more or less in an MMO break for years waiting for something good to come out. Messing around in Tribes: Ascend when I feel like gaming. If you like FPS games and you are bored, give it a try. the Tribes games always had the best and most skill-oriented gameplay in my mind, and I've played every competetive shooter since Doom.
A sure sign that you are in an old, dying paradigm/mindset, is when you are scared of new ideas and new technology. Don't feel bad. The world is moving on without you, and you are welcome to yell "Get Off My Lawn!" all you want while it happens. You cannot, however, stop an idea whose time has come.
Tried playing GW1 last night again. Just can't be bothered, since I don't have EOTN expansion. No HOM for me .
Also the game feels weird as hell.
Not been playing anything since I finished ME3 last month. Bored to death. . Can't wait for a GW2 beta weekend.
Pirates of the Burning Sea! It is surprisingly really good, i'm not planning on going to end-game and PvPing like i do most games, but man is it hard to not want to got a lvl 22 Privateer, my buddy a lvl 26 Naval Officer, we go gank lvl 50 NPC's. Would be surprised how much fun it is. So much team-work involved it's awesome, i would reccomend this as a time killer for GW2 cause it's F2P, and it does have a CS but it really isn't P2W. I haven't spent a dime on it and I got the best ship i can get for my level/class. The economy is NUTS, SOO much to it, from outfittings, to raw materials, to full on ships. If i can get a good foothold in this game i will play back and forth between GW2 and this game, it's pretty addicting!
And for loot, if you die, you lose ALL your ship out-fittings, and you only get so many of your ships, mine only has 3 durability, so if i die, i lose 1, as well as all my out-fittings. so it really makes you pick and choose your fights. Last night my Society (just a guild) leader had me follow him over to some PvP, and how it works is wierd, you have to create unrest near a port, after so much unrest, there becomes an area around it that anyone can attack anyone (within so many levels) we were right on the edge and about 10 Spanish ships were trying to get us to enter the area, not going to lie, i was a little nervous, i just bought a new ship and didn't want to lose it LOL. Seriously though, a good time killer game that you can get caught up on, this one is a hidden gem. GO BRITS!

Not playing anything at the moment. When Diablo 3 releases I'll play that for a bit but otherwise I am pretty much game free until GW2 releases.
I was playing Skyrim for a while but i needed a break from it. Now i've gone old school again and am playing Discworld mud, lurking on IRC, and listening to audio books. Witness my awesome text mud graphics!

Archlinux ftw
Was playing STO for a while but man did I hit a wall with that game so fast I swear my Crusier had an airbag deploy.
So back to Rise of Flight again. Got to justify to the wife why I spent all that money on flight sim accesories and head traking stuff.
Skyrim.....so much Skyrim. Of course, I only play any character up to level 40 and then feel the need to create something else, but it keeps it mostly fresh.
Still playing WoW since I have an active guild, plan on raiding and what not even after GW2. GW2 will probably cut into my Skyrim time :P
I'll be playing Tera until GW2 launches. Until Tera launches I am torn between doing another run through of Fallout 2 or Planescape Torment.
Mostly playing Skyrim and playing a lot of the older PS3 games I did not get when they were new. Damn MMO's made me miss quite a few gems on the PS3.
Thinking of buying Diablo III or Tera. Which should I get? (They come out at about the same).
