What is funny is that Bioware messed up and deployed some assests that messed up people who logged in during that time.

Edit: Funny that Bioware messed it up. Sorry for anyone who is trying to get into the game that had this happen since it might mean no gaming today or installing the game again.

Oh, anyone who was around for 1.1 knows just how "funny" things get when they update their game.

I don't even play SWTOR anymore, but I have a feeling my commute to work tomorrow is going to get broken because all the things Bioware will do wrong in 1.2 is actually going to unravel the space-time continum and undo the extinction of Dinosaurs.

I assume this was posted already, just couldn't find it. Apparently, Bioware started the 1.2 patch earlier today by mistake. Many who logged on automatically started the d/l. For those who already d/l the patch, they cannot play until tomorrow. For  those who were able to stop it before it installed are experieincing mnay issues and are being forced to reinstall the entire game.

This onlyl affected a small group who tried logging on an hor or so ago. Just unreal.

I keep having a good laugh with all the press coverage BW is getting.  They already messed up releasing the patch by allowing some player to partially download the patch unintentionally.  They can either not play until the rest of the patch is released or they can completely repatch.  It's just so amateur.  At least I know that if all else fails in my career, I can join up with BW and poop into a cardboard box for profit.

"and face off against your foes (or your allies) in Novare Coast, a new Warzone"

Annd they continue to "future proof" ToR by making sure you will always have someone to fight.  Why cross-realm and fight your actual sworn enemy when you can continue to fight your friends on your unbalanced servers.

I wonder how else they will "future proof" the game so when people begin leaving they can still give their players a sense of "hey this game isn't failing, see PvP ques up all the time!".

It's always good though that they add more content, but I just feel they are adding content in a manner that will preserve the idea that the game is doing well population wise. Which i suppose is a good strategy.

It's Star Wars, it's a Warzone, it's supposed to be republic vs empire, how you can fuck something that fundamental up is beyond me.

Well, look at the bright side... that's going to make RL a lot more interesting. Who wants to play SWTOR when you can look out your window and see a T-rex devour your neighbour, his car, the house and that annoyingly yippy chihuahua?

Too bad it won´t bring me back....

and i´m sad.... sad because i spent 80 bucks on my game and didn´t even reached lvl cap.

I love Star wars universe & i love MMOS....but that game didn´t grow on me.

It was plain boring after 20 levels... got to lvl 42 before leaving it.

I really hope to come back someday....

I didn´t feel my 80 bucks were worth it since i never reached even the end.

It needs a lot more of rework to bring me back.

This patch brings features like costumizations in UI that should of have been in release...almost a "MUST HAVE" in a  MMO today...specially whith that budget.

waiting for the next  8 patches....i guess......

No...heh..that would be the result of  a catastrophic miscalculation caused by one of the engineers who worked on the Hadron Collider. Don't worry though...SWTOR (and EA/Bioware) will probably get blamed for it.

Meh. I could not care less anymore. This game is not an MMO. It's a singleplayer RPG with a build in chat box. It lacks numerous basic functions that every other MMO has these days. They couldn't even implement a proper simple LFG tool, ffs. What's even worse is that they are constantly pandering to the PvP crowd and completely ignoring the numerous issues that are plaguing the rest of the game. Not to mention that the majority of the servers are ghost towns. People have been begging to merge servers for months but they continue to ignore them. They are going to lose even more subs when Guild Wars 2 comes out. I'd be very surprised if this doesn't go "free to play" by the end of the year.

And tommorrow you will hear all the horror stories on how they screwed up the servers with the patch and how the patch is garbage etc etc etc.

But you will also hear from all the fanbios on how every single server is showing full and people are reflocking to the game with guild accepting hundreds of new players everyday!

Ths patch might of truely helped the game but they waited wayyyy to long to send it out.  I mean hell they could of brought parts of it to the game with mini patches and it might of helped the game but waiting so long probally did long term damage to the game.

GG Bioware..you had a winner but you screwed up.  In MMO's, you mostly get one shot to impress players and you fumbled on the 3 yard line.  Better luck next time maybe?

    Unsubscribed already.

Too much like WoW, of a couple years ago.

Sure the cut-scene, voice dialogue is cool, but it dulls all too soon, leaving a lesser WoW in its place.

Take away the light sabers, and you've got a middling, under developed MMO.

I agree, but if people enjoy the game then that's their choice. CoH is the only MMO that made me actually enjoy playing the game ... not just play for the rewards, like WoW.  I look at TOR and it it looks like every other hotbar MMO released over the last 8 years.  I can relate most of the abilities back to my WoW and Rift spread sheets.

However, if people enjoy TOR then I say good for them.  Every game doesn't have to cater to our personal interests.  It seems like Bioware is learning too ... not as fast as Trion ... ,but they'e learning and the game is improving ... slowly.

If you don't worry about it, it's not a problem.
