You aren't referring to GW2. 5 minutes reading information on their website debunks most of what you said. The only hype around this game is from the community. To base your opinion of a product off of other peoples' speculations is foolish at best. What's questionable about a cash shop that provides no in-game advantage over other players.

I'm just wondering what you're comparing it to. Most people agree that any MMO combat is fairly lackluster when compared to action or FPS games. Shouldn't you be planning how to spend your money in the cash shops to obtain siege weapons that give you an advantage in WvWvW (The zergfest of the MMO world?)

I played TOR extensively. I enjoyed the leveling. I didn't enjoy the rest of the game. I still have interest in hearing about its progress. You're very small-minded for reacting the way you have.

I am jaded with Bioware. Between ME3 and TOR, I reserve the right to evaluate the behavior of a company and vote with my dollars in a free enterprise economy. There are a lot of companies I'm jaded with that are outside the gaming industry. Bottom line I have not touched an mmorpg since WOW 3.3 thats since 8-12-09 roughly I have been playing strategy games and lots of Sword of the Stars online matches. I did play with a few mmorpgs but not much, was going to play Spellborn but Acclaim screwed that up for me. But I won't play anymore carebear geargrinds, it's just not going to happen, Tera seems fun but a little too bubblegum and gear based, also pandas are gay. Secret world looks good for a gear grind alternative to GW2, pvp is going to be non existant but at least its moving to bar on mechanics. TOR sucks for the reasons many of us said it would suck, WOW was fine the first time, we don't need more WOW clones especially crappy ones. And Raiders are NOT important to mmorpg populations, and if you keep placating them you will have mmo trainwrecks over and over again. Most of the Future GW2 population consist of competive to casual players pvp and casuals, probably some RP element people who just not only hate pointless game breaking geargrinds, but raiders themselves, the lowest form of mmorpg life.
For added hilarity lets watch Pokket mmorpgs own fake pro gamer read off the patch notes from WOW.. I mean from TOR you can clearly see her expert ability to stand behind people will put you in AWE of her skills, and the speed at which she reads off patch notes from the main website, daunting. But at least this time the toon she is playing is apparently AT level.

1) THIS ISN'T A SWTOR FORUM, look at the title of the thread, just cause it is under SW:TOR doesn't mean other games can't come into the thread, especially since the one being talked about it IN THE TITLE OF THE THREAD.

I do agree with you, all these GW2 are awesome, SW sucks posts are lame attempts at troll baiting, and the overkill fanbois are ridiculous, PERSONALLY i dislike WoW, i enjoy SW:TOR from time to time, but don't prefer it. I consider SW a success, 1.7 mill or not, if they have over 1 mill they are making money lol, 1 mill subs monthly x 15 bucks a month? i'd like that buisness model haha. I get tired of it as well. I was recently in the TERA forum and a GW2 fan ripped on a poster for starting a thread about what he liked about TERA. That's been a consistent pattern with the GW2 fanboys and it only turns people off.
Its hard for me to categorize people so simply. GW2 fans, SWTOR fans, tera fans.... We are not talking politics here, we are talking video games.
Is there any issue at all with me liking boht SWTOR and GW2? or Wow and Rift? Or Tera and Eve? Sure i may like one more than the other, but everything does not need to be unconditional love vs eternal hatred , you know.

No. I already cancelled TOR the first week the game released. I switched back to xbox. And I may pass on GW2, will wait until the game is released and check for reviews post-launch.

As much as I wanted to love and enjoy TOR, it's simply not the Star Wars MMO for me.
Guild Wars 2 on the other hand looks like a lot of awesomeness. Can't wait to finally try it out in the next beta

Theres alot to like about SWTOR as iv mentioned in my prevoous threads, seemings as GW2 is a B2P I dont really see how it would effect my SWTOR play.
