Let's say you've never participated in any TERA beta before, and this will be the first time you're trying it out... Won't starting at level 20 cause you to miss all the lower level interesting stuff?
I just don't know whether to participate in this beta or not, as I don't want to get it all ruined for me before I actually play on release day.
You do the tutorial as a level 20 and when its complete you revert back to level 1.
You don't miss the first 20 levels.
Playing: Darkfall New Dawn (and planning to play Fallout 76) Favourite games have included: UO, Lineage2, Darkfall, Lotro, Baldur's Gate, SSX, FF7 and yes the original Wizardry on an Apple IIe
I played one of the closed beta events but didn't reach level 20. From what I've heard, the higher levels are much better and that's what I'm seeing so far.
When I last played there was too much running from quest to quest early on.
EDIT: Just completed tutorial and as poster above said, back to level 1 lol
It is true that the game really unfolds nicely once you get to level 20 and beyond, but they also redid the level 1-20 experience to make it more exciting and enjoyable for players.

I assume you mean the Guildwars 2 beta? If so, it works out perfectly that weekend with TERA because GW2 starts Friday night and TERA will not be up again until Saturday afternoon/evening!!

Oh, then that explains it. Today is for the people who preordered the game. If you already have the game loaded then you could preorder through Amazon for free and if they email you a code, pop it in and play today. Amazon will nto charge you until the item ships. Just a thought.
All servers for our open beta will open on Thursday, 19th of April at 3 pm CEST / GMT +2 and they will stay open until midnight CEST / GMT +2 on Tuesday, 24th of April 201...

In case you’re totally new to TERA and have no account or key redeemed so far, there is no need to worry, just follow the below listed steps:
Which client are you using? NA = EnMasse, EU = Frogster.
Since you received that error have you closed out of all windows and tried again? A patch for one of them was just released to help with certain problems. Hopefully you'll be able to get in
I have followed the link from MMORPG to TERA website and made a account there and after taht I clicked download client but now I see its not frogster but enmasses .
Well Holland can play on NA servers I believe but you'll have to wait about 18 hours. You might have some latency issues but people have reported that it's not that bad. At least you'll get to try it and if you like it re-download.

yeah the servers are live but juts for people who pre ordered the game, I cant get in yet because I havent pre ordered Tera
No in EU they are open for everyone. You just have to use the key "TERABETA" in your account as code.

hmm I thought that I would be able to to play on 20/04/12 even if I did not have pre ordered teh game...
I used the TERABETA key and it is 20/04/2012 as we speak.

so my client is NA too
