I downloaded the game and was ready to go but couldnt play it due to horrible lag/frame rate. I then had to download it to another computer and it ran really well, lagging only in huge wvw fights, So I pretty much lost Friday to playing.
I got a Ranger to level 15. I pretty much cleared all the Charr and Human level 0-15 zone doing all the exploration and heart quests just for fyi.
Also got a thief to level 5. He was a round Norn, as tall as could be, pretty funny.
Also Fort Aspenwood totally ruled our group in wvw!

You want me to pay to play a game I already paid for???
Be afraid.....The dragons are HERE!
When I said i had "time", i meant virtual time, i got no RL "time" for you.
3 level 15 and one level 8.
My girlfriend playing on my account got to level 10.
The wierd thing?
I played a total of 8 hours in 3 days and still got to do all that.
Got a human warrior level 20, This beta i dedicated to one char and human zones only. The game runned smoothly through most events however when fighting a boss and 20+ people the effects hammered my framerate even on a I7 and high end GPU, but most of the time had stable 40+ fps on max even without much GPU based optimisation.
The zones are intresting and vary on tasks. I wanted to explore the 30+ zones but the teleporters where disabled for this beta , Did mainly PVE (no story quests, saving for release), WVWVW is very fun although bit laggy at times and server balancing looks like it could be a challenge. I played 16+ hours over the weekend probably and didn't get bored once even when doing the same events more than once. Explored two zones, left the cities etc for another time.
I spent a lot of time exploring rather than concentrating on leveling.
Play for fun. Play to win. Play for perfection. Play with friends. Play in another world. Why do you play?
Just out of intrest, where did you level mainly WvWvW?, End event looked good, but i couldn't be bothered to wake up early
In my experience leveling in WvWvW was much slower then going out in the world.
Got to lvl 26 as Engineer. Had TONS of fun with it, it is definitely a class with a bad start (by not having the utility skills in which his trademark toolbelt skills rely on), but once I hit around 10, damn, was it fun. was mainly a pistol and shield on PvE and WvW, found out later how useful the grenade kit was to defend keeps and towers... Organized pvp as engineer is just amazing, he brings a lot of disables to the fight and can burst down someone from around 80% life to downed state pretty fast if used correctly, or survive during a really big period of time (hopefully enough to stall the opposing team or to have well placed turrets damage the opponents.
Also PvPed a bit with a thief, didnt find it quite as rewarding as the engineer.
My guild had a lvl 32 and 2 lvl 31s. Heard rumours of someone hitting 39.
Beta was amazing, and I am suffering from withdrawal issues already, the last time I got this addicted to a game was on skyrim I think...
21 Ele, 18 Ranger, 10 Thief.
The Ele was my favorite for WvW keep assaults and defense but the weapon ability unlocks felt a bit grindy since you have to unlock then X4 - once for each alignment. In WvW I played mostly with a Staff for the range so I got to know that skill set well... will need to figure out the other play styles for the close-in fighting you often have to do in PvP scenarios and some PvE.
The Thief was loads of fun but I did find myself with some resource management issues. I.e. having to wait to use some abilities not on cool down due to low initiative. I didn't experience this extra wait with the other classes I played. Needs a bit of tweaking imho.
The Ranger was a blast and was the hardiest of the 3 with tons of utility. I mostly switched between Long Bow and 2-Hd sword and found this combo very potent. The Bear pet is a good tank and holds aggro well making the ranger feel like the stereotypical pet + randed DPS combo. Not as much dodging needed as with other classes since the mobs ususally ignore you while you nuke them down. Was the easiset of the 3 to level by far.

'Sandbox MMO' is a PTSD trigger word for anyone who has the experience to know that anonymous players invariably use a 'sandbox' in the same manner a housecat does.
When your head is stuck in the sand, your ass becomes the only recognizable part of you.
No game is more fun than the one you can't play, and no game is more boring than one which you've become familiar.
