Uhm..Was I just robbed..Or?(frogster)

Okay.. I bought tera standard from gamesplanet, upgraded to CE on the tera eu website. Decided to get a refund from gamesplanet two weeks ago, it was successful, Tera EU refuse to reply to me or answers my questions, I get no feedback about the refund they owe me for the CE update..

 

Then I get this email a couple of hours ago. After I've waited days for a reply from a ticket.

"Hello JDP7KFGP39,

Your plan has just been automatically extended! We're pleased that you want to continue enjoying the game.

For your information:

Your plan runs for a total of 1 Month, you paid 12.95 EUR for it (payment method: expercash).

After expiration, the plan will automatically be extended by another 1 Month. You can cancel your Gametime plan any time via the account settings on the TERA website.

If you have any questions about your Gametime plan and payment methods, simply visit the TERA website:

Every thread I make gets deleted because it's apparently "Not there problem, it's up to customer support to help me"

but they definitely took the money >< my card was just drained.. Bleh.

It's really stressing me out for some reason ._. Really desperate to play this game as well.. Hope this sorts out...

It's the fact they they just took even more money from me for a sub.. even though my account is apparently banned -.- I didn't know companies took money off you after you've been banned for a week... Banned because of a mistake they made.

    As far as I understand digital sales once you have purchased and used a code its like having gone to a coffee shop drunk the coffee and then asked for a refund.  I think you really confused the system getting a refund on the main game having a CE upgrade requesting a refund after and then paying for a subscription.  You should have been more sure that you wanted to play the game when you entered your code in the first place.

    If you had not of used the code you could possibly get a refund.  I think really this is a case of buyer beware regarding digital sales you have to be really careful and sure that what you are buying you really want.

    Being banned on a forum doesn't necessarily mean you are banned from playing a game.  Your post is also really confusing you say you want refunds but in the same post say you really want to play the game. You sound like a confused little rabbit to me.

    If you are truly unhappy and never ever want to play the game again I would suggest contacting your credit card company and ask them to reverse the charges.

    And it's the game I'm banned from, not the forums.

     

    And I want a re-fund so I can possibly re-buy the game without all these errors and bans, I'll be moving over to the NA servers.

    Sounds like a weird situation but if thats what you want I would contact my card company and have it reversed then order from the states.

    I'm not surprised this has happened, you should of got a refund on the CE upgrade first then got the SE refunded. This could be flagged as fraudulent behavior in that you're trying to play the CE of the game only paying the upgrade price.

    I would re-buy the full game as you plan and try to get a refund, unfortunately I don't think Frogsters customer support is the best.

    I requested a refund for the CE over two days before I went through with the refund with gameplanet, they have some sort of refund policy and I was running out of time

    All I can say is next time you want a game especially an online one pick it up only if you are sure.  It seems to me you requested a refund at the 11th hour, you then confused the Frogster system probably kicking an automated fraudulent prevention system (as the poster up said).  Combined with the fact that yeh maybe Frogster support is a little slow but you now need to get to tier 2 or 3 support to sort this mess out which was caused by you and your flip floping.

     

    If you hand over money for something just make sure you actually really want whats on offer, its a good life lesson.  I hope they do sort this out for you, though I know they have alot of stupid requests atm for refunds due to idiots blablabla'ing about blood and nakedness... which has been sorted out to some degree, nevertheless they have MANY tickets to wade through.

     

    To answer your OP title no you weren't  robbed you just didnt understand or grasp the laws regarding buyer beware.  Robbed implies that they took money from you forcibly without your consent, from your story you voluntarily consented the use of your payment with two different vendors of product.

     

    Im not perfect btw I bought swtor for myself and mrs, I regret it bitterly.  Though I am somewhat comforted by the fact that all of my friends who bought it are in that same bitter boat CHUG CHUG.

     

    UPDATE*

    Frogster now have telephone and live chat support I don't have the details of it as I don't have any issues but apparently its there.

    how hard is it to either buy something or just not buying it?  if i go to see a movie in the theater and i go back to the guy that sold me my ticked when the movie is already on for 10 minutes and tell him i didnt like the start of the movie and want a refund, you think he will give me a refund?

     

    Also you having: ''Really desperately want  to play this game as well'' and wanting a refund is also weard...

    This should be a life lesson. 

    Dont spend large amounts of money on something on a whim, make sure you really want it first.

    On a more helpful note, you can do a chargeback through your bank/credit card but if you do that standard practice by any MMO company is to permaban you. 

    As someone above said, I think you really confused the system(sounds like you were trying to get a refund for box price but still play the game?) by getting a refund on your original box AFTER upgrading to the CE and then paying for a sub. Technically you no longer own the game because you got a refund.
