So yeah... I'll pass as I've never enjoyed this style of art.
Why do I write, create, fantasize, dream and daydream about other worlds? Because I hate what humanity does with this one.

Been following the drama on FoH boards (love em for popcorn drama and some actually well thought out discussions also ) , and mixed feelings on the art. The other shot showing the city with the mounted warrior in front of it looks ok , dont mind the cartoony aspect , but some things are bit too close to a WoW 1.5 engine upgrade for me.
Shame , more signs are pointing to 38 closing permanently this week - (health insurance running out , more folks fleeing the company etc ) , so we may never see what they would have looked like in animation form.
38 Studios 'leaked' those images to try and deflect the shitstorm of negativity surrounding them. i can just imagine the round table discussion:
PR Guy: Lets pretend to leak some screenshots. Gamers will be too busy 'oooohing and aaaaahing' over them to remember that our company is going broke.
Curt Shilling: What was that? I was too busy 'oooohing and aaaaahing' over some leaked Copernicus screenshots to notice that my company is going broke.
It's all about the uncanny valley. This style works better than those trying to be ultra realistic and mainly shades of brown and gray which are more distracting than immersive.
I think it looks more like TL than WoW. WoW I can do. TL I can't.
That doesn't even look like torchlight.
It looks more like World of DisneyCraft.
I actually like the look.
Tired of themepark after themepark coming out with the same art design.

I enjoy a lot of styles, as long as they are done well, and these look done well.
I like Wildstar for the same reason.

I mean, there was even a column in TL somewhere with those exact textures.
And the design of the guy is much closer to TL than it is to WoW. TL frequently tries to look silly on purpose, WoW doesn't.

Isn't this game dead? I was really looking forward to it, but they can't even make payroll and evidently owe the state a ton of money.
I never said it looked like WoW in the first place. I said it doesn't look like Torchlight. Now stop getting your panties in a twist.
